  1. Read it several times and the wisdom it contains will eventually be imparted, and then you will like it. If you mean how to click "Like" on the button just below a given post, I guess we need to know what kind of device you are using or which browser, if it means you are not even seeing a Like button.
  2. I don't think the wind conditions are favorable for that.
  3. Of course. It's the nature of the joke that seemed more like just a chance for a cheap shot. Here's mine: I'm calling Florimon's first HR of the season, now that he doesn't have the wind blowing in to prevent it. If that's a shot against Florimon's batting prowess, so be it - but I don't think it's especially cheap.
  4. The master plan is likely to trade Hicks to a team needing a CF when Buxton is ready to take that job permanently. That plan doesn't work as well if Hicks spends 50% of his coming ABs in AAA instead of in the majors. So I don't see a waiver acquisition who has flunked trials with two previous teams as taking his job away. If Hicks loses the job, it will have nothing to do with Fuld - not being able to lose it for lack of any kind of major league backup for the position is what is a fluky and totally temporary situation. Hicks will go to AAA if and when the front office sees his trade value as so low that going to AAA won't even hurt it.
  5. The guy who made that choice of words after a Spring game is no longer with the team, not even for a player in return. A reasonable conclusion would then be that the Twins front office doesn't care for the attitude among their employees either. But sure, go ahead and hang the attitude around the necks of "our pitchers" anyway.
  6. I wonder if Hicks will look at the batting order and say "man, I'm hitting behind a guy who was picked up on waivers?" and have it motivate him positively.
  7. Nice having no drama from Perkins in the ninth^H^H^H^H^H^H twelfth.
  8. Runners didn't steal any bases tonight, but at least someone came away with a souvenir.
  9. Colabello got only the single this time, because even him mom has left the ballpark by now. / edit - beaten to the punch yet again by the Chief
  10. Sounds about right. Tell Cola's mom to say something on TeeVee.
  11. So it's the name of a heavy metal band?
  12. Fuld foold on that one.
  13. Why are we leavin' out the "g" tonight?
  14. I'm just trying to figure out why there is a tilde over the n. My tongue hurts from trying to pronounce the result.
  15. Even Christy Mathewson had a bad game or two. I don't see why there is this rush to judgement on the youngster; just induct him into the HoF already.
  16. If only someone would keep some records, we could compare over the long run using a large enough sample size of hundreds if not thousands of players, to see whether there was a correlation between doing well in AAA to doing well in the majors.
  17. Because pit bull.
  18. Future generations of archivists studying early twenty-first century America will curse you.
  19. Yeah, I forgot about that, but the combination of the two really had me giving the Norton tools a good workout on my disk.
  20. It's written: http://twinsdaily.com/showthread.php/8837-Twins-Daily-Comment-Policy-latest-revision-September-2013
  21. I had figured the problem was a virus on my computer, because I had updated an Adobe installation and it added some really annoying crapware that I didn't catch onto at first. Weird timing of all that.
  22. Doesn't seem to work in the case of catchers: And take a look at the 2014 Mastroianni:
  23. If the offense starts to dominate too much when the strike zone is called as it's defined, TPTB can always adjust by redefining the strike zone a little or by raising the mound height or by some other means. I like a level playing field1, and just as importantly I like the perception that it's a level playing field. 1 Insert your own joke about mound height in this context
