  1. Since we moved in Target Field (notorious pitchers park)....2 1/2yrs so far....Blackburn has 65starts 5.51ERA in 372.2 IP 467hits 174k 118bb Is there ANYTHING in those numbers that makes you think he can be even below average instead of horrible??? The guy will be 31 next year & the ONLY reason he's still in majors is Bill Smith contract he gave out. With the theory about regaining his form, why not get Kevin Slowey back also??
  2. MLB managers dont go into their last yr of contract without any extension....either give one or let him go.Can see them givin him an extension as it the 'good ole boys' network here, but if TRyan wants to 'nut up'...you just dont extend him & Gardy will step down. Unfortunately, Blackburn had 82 pitches tonight in 7 IP 5h 3r 1er 3k 1bb.....be back soon AAAARRRRGHHHHHh
  3. Millone 87.8mph average in his career gives a guy hope in the projection of BJ Hermsen.....just pitches & gets guys out
  4. New collective bargaining, LAA can offer Liriano arbitration but if he declines they do NOT get a draft pick. Traded players in season lose that option for the team acquiring them.
  5. Richards, 24, would be at top of list. LAA 3rd prospect from BAmerica lists him as a possible #2 pitcher, who in his 14g 9starts 50.1 IP win majors has averaged 94.7mph on fastball. He is only 24 & would immediately be at top of our rotation. His MLB problem has been walks w/26 (37Ks). Segura, 22, is a SS but expected to move to 3B due to range issues. Angels #2 guy....55 overall....is in AA but having only an average year & has really battled injuries---106gms in 08/09/11--w/Plouffe, do we need a 3B prospect tho I understand you collect talent & fugure it out later. Would be happy with either
  6. never heard any rumours/story of what happenned??
  7. sometimes havin a major league defense behind ya makes a difference. Innings dont keep alive with '2 out hits' like they do in AAA (now last yr was different story)
  8. Millone 5.98 era w/.307BAA in 10 road starts this yr......smell a shutout
  9. saw Seth tweet it was a hamstring......any timetable Seth?
  10. Luke is in EST, but anyone know if we will see him anytime this year or if the shoulder isnt healed yet??
  11. any word on Eddie yet....been about 5 wks since the injury & as Seth quoted TRyan, they thought 6wks.....anyone??
  12. Im not one of the guys freakin out over Mazzilli, but if you knew he was a higher ranked guy who would want to be paid like a higher pick, why draft him? I hate wasted picks....if you're gonna draft someone, sign him. Still confused by the Bard pick, esp with the ROCs Mitch Brown available (who was rated very high) I do agree with them bein a good ole boys club.
  13. Seth, can you give some more info on Rory Jimmenez.....been trying to dig up as much as I can find to start a thread, but you would know more. Even tho he's been hurt alot, doesnt a 21 yr old tearing up the APP Lg need/deserve to be promoted eventually.
  14. Find it interesting that Benson isnt on rehab at Ft Myers but has been reassigned there. Do we take anything from that, or with Bigley, Hicks & Arcia in AA...there is no spot for him?? OF course, that go with our ROC OF's who have no one to answer to (Carson, Ramirez, Thomas) regardless of how they play.
  15. what does keeping Clete Thomas or Wilkin Ramirez do for the organization. There are OFs goin down to ELIZ that are ready to get promoted that should start the chain reaction.......Keplar/Jimmenez in ELIZ, Roberts in BEL, Ortiz in FtM......decision will have to be made soon on those 2
  16. I agree that's possibly what they are doin. He has also thrown out 45% of baserunners this yr (19/42).....84/217 (39% career). No way that Drew Butera should be the 3rd C next yr with Chris around.
  17. last season Hermann couldnt hit lefties NBrit....9/65 .138/.282/.169 2 doubles 7 rbi 16k 12bb 2012--27/86 .314/.366/.430 5doubles triple hr 3rbi 15k 6bb Last yr he hit righties great 2011---272ABs .287/.403/.445 12doubles 5triples 7hr 36rbi 52k 52bb 2012---241ABs .241/.315/.382 15doubles 6hr 31rbi 45k 26bb some of his numbers last yr were inflated with a 9-13 w/6rbi over last 3 days...average rose 14 points & slgg 22 points over last weekend when he puts it together....he will be in the majors. Ready for AAA IMO.....even w/our AA/AAA discusions bein legit
  18. first 10gms 7/42 .167/.222/.310 6r 1double 1triple 1hr 6rbi 16k 3bb last 10gms 13/42 .310/.371/.571 10r 3doubles 1triples 2hr 11rbi 16k 3bb RISP thru 20gms 10/29 .345/.406/.621 3doubles 1triple 1hr 15rbi 8k 2bb
  19. When both Benson/Tosoni are done with their rehabs...will they just go back to AA & carry 5 OFs or will 1 or 2 finally (Bigley for sure) get a AAA promotion??
  20. Benson/Tosoni would be an extra 3 wks into the rehab/New Brit return by July 31, but it could also go a couple wks into AUG with Mastro fillin in till then
  21. Now 3-3 in last 9 starts 57.2 IP 34h .171 BAA 18er 2.81 ERA 67k 25bb 1.023 WHIP..... only 2HRs allowed but drove in 7runs with those Only given up runs in 10 of those 58 innings in 9 starts
  22. Tonight 7IP 3h 2er 5k 0bb 92 pitches...what to do, what to do
  23. Bert used the color analyst job to help promote his cause to get into the HOF. Now that he is there....can make xtra money as a HOFer....he doesnt need to do the tv job anymore. Bet he does 1 more yr & retires from it.
  24. I am agrreing with ya that Mays was horrible the 2 yrs before/after his all star yr....so he just got back to his bad yrs after TJ surgery. Liriano was excellent in his first yr back. His first 3 MN starts were horrible, but after rehabbing in ROC, his numbers after his recall were his best in his MN yrs. 11 starts 6w 1L 65.2IP 59h .236BAA 2.74ERA 60k 19bb This was his best yr with the Twins since TJ surgery
  25. Mays was a one yr wonder (one yr..01.. was All Star yr tho) so I wouldnt degrade him that much, but he had really lost his stuff the 2 full yrs before the surgery
