    Signings like this will keep Arcia/Hicks in AA rather than ROC....this is what upsets me. Signing these retreads for AA is one thing, but blocking players who will be starting at seasons end is frustrating

    Ryan is running this team into the lowest point in franchise history........means whichever CF doesnt start in Cf....Benson/Hicks....starts in AA

    In several Hendriks starts, I noticed he'd miss on a 3rd out strike on a questionable call and it would extend the inning 5-10-20 pitches. Other starts, Id notice a bad defensive play that wasnt ruled an errror but should have been made. As he gets more expereience & gets those close calls from umpires, he'll keep his pitch counts lower & use his control as his out pitch. I just thought he's had some bad luck along the way so far. I think he's got a bit above average stuff but struggled mightily with confidence. He showed his stuff matching up with Felix & shutting down DET. I also think he struggled with the mindgames of getting his first win. We shall see, but he's my 'under the radar' pick this season to break out.

    Huge believer in him. Have no doubt he'll start season as #5 starter (if he's not dealt this offseason which was my prediction early). Could be helped by having a better INF defense.....but Plouffe/Florimon are gonna be historically bad left side (one defense/one offensively)

    Assume he's bein signed to be traded in July as MN gets ready for KGibson/TMay this yr & Alex Meyer next yr. Hopefully get 15-20 starts out of him as Im sure MN will baby him in his rehab even tho there is no long term chance of him stayin. OK signing...nothing more Should have signed Scot Baker instead

    If Benson or Hicks is our 2013 CF, our defense just got a lot better actually. They are both considered way better OF's than Denard/Ben as both have their range/speed but have great arms also

    Again, Im fine with Pelfrey but keeping Scot Baker woulda been a major improvement. Diamond, most people agree, is a #4 or #5 type on a good team. That's why he's our opening day starter. Worley...love the deal--get that out of the way....but was a #4 or #5 on a good Phillies team last 2 yrs. Correia was a #5 or #6 type on a Pirates team that was .500 each of last 2 Augusts, but then faded hard (lots due to Corriea) Pelfrey.....gonna be a project this year due to TJ....wont be the 200IP guy he was 2 of last 3 yrs. Hendriks....Im a big fan but he has a TON to prove & will have to beat out Nick Blackburn in spring training for job. Is this it for starters??? YUCK!!! It is what it is tho. This is a last place teams rotation BUT 2013 is all about getting our prospects ready for 2014. Gibson will be in rotation in the 2nd half or possibly Aug 1st to keep him to the projected 140 innings (cmon get him to 160) Trevor May is on the 40 man roster & if he starts well, could be brought up fast .....big IF tho, but will up in 2nd half sometime. Still think Alex Meyer will make a 2nd half appearance (again if he starts off well in New Brit)

    HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA.....quit, my side is hurting right now from that!!!! Ryan has stated that Gibson will start in AAA to monitor his innings but will start as they dont want him adusting to relieving. He is obviously gonna take over (mid-year) for Diamond (if he regresses), Hendriks (easy #5 starter who I predict will have a Diamond like breakout yr but ya never know), Corriea (when his June era of 5.50 shows how bad a signing it was), or Pelfrey (either if his arm isnt sound or inevitably dealt at deadline....#1 reason he was signed)

    at that salary for a pitcher coming off a TJ surgery....why not just keep Scot Baker, who had the ability to strike guys out. Because Baker hated bein here after bein called soft by Anderson/Ryan & misdiagnosed. Shows how desparate this team is Pelfrey before the injury was ok & Im fine with it I guess. Still a 95 to 100 loss team easily Worse strikeout rate in 09-12 than Correia (5th lowest with 600IP). If he regains his old velocity (92mph ave)....he becomes our hardest thrower immediately!!!

    they are also arranging their prospects for the futures games IMO..... While, with a solid year this season, guys like Sano & Rosario could make their debuts this year.....they wont. Alex Meyer absolutely should make his, but again may be kept back for the futures game (tho he's been in one & may again this yr). That will be the season when prospects like Berrios, Buxton & Keplar could also make their national debut. With the game, MN isnt as worried about selling season tix as many are buying em up to get their All Star Game tix. How you could possibly watch this team in 13' for that one weekend shot is puzzlin tho.

    many people may think that the bullpen is fine but it ranked 17th in ERA (3.77) , 20th in BAA (.246), 14th in OBP (.311), 15th in slgg (.380), 30th in K/9 (6.48).....very mediocre & can absolutely use a makeover, but TR wont do it as mediocrity would be a stop up for Twins

    Im not a Gardy guy at all.....but he is getting NO shot to compete this season. Dont think he's good with young players & after this yr, they will go really young...so its time to move on

    Not out of the realm of possiblity that ROC could have a more successful starting staff than MN this yr Diamond....not sold on him Worley......coming off bone chips, some think its a precursor to TJ surgery Correia....nuff said Hendriks....personally think he will break out huge this yr Duensing......will move to pen with another pitcher acquired AAA Gibson....best starter with MLB stuff Blackburn...many will defend him still due to 08/09 DeVries.....2nd best starter in 11' Deduno....3rd best starter in 11' Walters.....

    As long as you're reaching for your own popsicle for gratification there, you should probably link to your "100%" guarantee that they would sign nobody for more than one year. Right? absolutely am stunned by that!!!! This means that Diamond/Worley/Correia/Gibson are 80% of 2014s starting rotation. is Terry thinking he can flip these guys this summer/next offseason.....wow!!! Funny thing is I had a list of 50 FA pitchers & picked 3 from the bottom 5/10 but I truly believed they would do it. Ryan is old school & isnt a 21st century stats guy....so he's excited by a guy with double digit wins for 4 straight yrs.
