  1. Sounds like a trick question Dave, don't bite.
  2. Here........I'll................type...............slower............it................means............he's...................not........................good.....................enough..................to...............play............major............league...................baseball............right.................now....................or ............put......................more...............simply......................he........................sucks.
  3. Morneau's 2011 splits shouldn't count either, way too early to talk about keeping him out of the lineup that often for a guy like Valencia. Mornie isn't a platoon player yet and Valencia isn't ready to be a major leaguer yet.
  4. "Hey fatty, shut up and pass my beer down"
  5. No, where cool guy?
  6. Well screw the farm system, Ryan needs to set up a Wizard school pronto! This is exactly what we've been missing!
  7. Morneau is worth significantly more to the Twins right now than what they could get for him in the trade market. He's still only 31 years old and has unbelievably missed over a full season of baseball over the last 2 1/2 years. He's far too good a player to continue down the road he is on against left handed pitching and once he finds the right path he's going to scare the hell out of a lot of teams while at the same time becoming a far more valuable commodity. A lot of members have made much of this team lacking guts and a competitive edge, get rid of Morneau now and this team is emasculated.
  8. What exactly is winning energy? Jumping jacks? more butt slapping? Jedi mind tricks? My 6 year old has lots of energy, maybe the Twins should sign him.
  9. Time to change the record, pretty sure it's broken.
  10. New vibe? Seems like the same old gripe, moan, second guess and dump on everything and everyone, despite the fact we won vibe that always permeates this board.
  11. Fun? On this site? Ha, ha, except for a few, good luck.
  12. Michael Bourn is.....fast, so is Andrus, Gardiner, Rajai Davis, Reyes, Maybin. I think Revere is right up with most of those guys. Depends if you just base it on SB's or include extra base and infield hits or getting them to run around the block.
  13. Hendriks continued his dominating play at AAA with another impressive outing for Rochester yesterday. Our prospect went 8.2 innings, allowing no runs on 3 hits with 10 SO and 2 BB, he came up one out shy of a complete came shutout before being relieved in the Red Wings 2-0 win. Liam improves to 5-0 with a 1.94 ERA over 46.1 innings in 7 starts, over that time he has given up a measly 29 hits while striking out 42 and walking 13. He has not given up a run in his last 15 2/3 innings pitched. Hendriks commented in an MILB interview that establishing his fastball is one of the major keys to his recent success. Yesterday against Indianapolis he threw 1st pitch strikes to 9 of the first 10 batters he faced and 19 of 30 overall. Clearly that is something he was missing when he was up with the Twins, something that could be attributed to nothing more than a lack of confidence that he seems to be regaining. I think that is what ultimately keeps Hendriks up here, along with his great mix of pitches. It all works off his fastball though, if he can work both sides of the plate with it, keep it down and focus on going after the hitter instead of trying to be perfect then all his other pitches take care of themselves and he is certain to have success.
  14. The Cubs better hope they get something out of Dempster tomorrow or it's going to be a long afternoon, that bullpen is cooked. I personally do not hope for it
  15. Little baffled by that as well.
  16. Trevor Plouffe to all the haters......"How do you like me now?!!"
  17. Nice job kid, way to play!
  18. Nice defensive play by Diamond. I think the best thing about Diamond might be that he is as cool as a cucumber.
  19. That's 1st rate 3rd base play Plouffey!
  20. That last SO by Diamond was a thing of beauty, set that slider up brilliantly.
  21. If I've never said it and really, I can't say it enough, I Love Justin Morneau!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. No base running worries there!!
  23. Stiffler didn't have much of an outing there.
  24. Nice hitting by the Twins!! Bad base running but nice hitting, Plouffe's was a great hit. Too bad, if Doom holds up, we're in the lead. Oh well,, let's get Mastro home.
  25. Beautiful wedge by Dozier, atta boy !!
