  1. I see your spelling is coming along quite nicely Van. You'll be ready for your citizen test any time now.
  2. Apropos of nothing really, but Plymouth's very own Blake Wheeler was named Captain of the Winnipeg Jets yesterday. Great choice imo.
  3. Well, I got in the elevator, which for some reason was located in the boiler room, I should have known something was wrong when they strapped me into a seat for the ride up to my floor. All I remember is when that elevator door closed, all hell broke loose!
  4. They love their football team..........the rest of us don't.
  5. I'm never staying on the 13th floor of that hotel in Disneyland ever again, that's for sure!!
  6. You're a big hockey fan, I can see that.
  7. It's offensive to refer to anyone in Canada as a "Canadien", unless they are fans of a particular hockey team, which I can't stand.
  8. Calgary, 2009, 97th Grey Cup game, Saskatchewan Roughriders lead the Montreal Alouettes, 27-25. On the games last possession, Montreal drives the ball to the Riders 36 yard line and with .05 seconds left on the clock, Alouette kicker Damon Duval lines up for a 43 yard field goal to win the game, he pushes the ball wide right and seemingly Saskatchewan has won................except wait, there is a flag down on the field, the Riders are penalized for too many men. Duval tries again, this time from 33 yards out and Montreal wins the Grey Cup. And with that, the term "A Rider Dozen" is born........................................except in Saskatchewan.
  9. I assumed when you said doing such was TR being cutting edge ahead of his time, you meant it as a good thing.
  10. The Twins lack the organisational pitching depth to be able to move Erv. It's only worth moving him if ready or close to ready arms are the return and like you say, that's not happening. Keeping him to anchor what will likely once again be a shaky rotation is likely their best route at this point.
  11. Are you suggesting that Ryan Doumit and Chris Hermann belonged in an MLB OF? Putting a round peg in a square hole passes as cutting edge? To be cutting edge, don't you at least have to have a modicum of success for it to qualify?
  12. Mod warning, tone down the rhetoric people and stop making things personal. Warning points will be handed out from here on out.
  13. Good point, they should set their sights on 14, it's well within grasp.
  14. They've done 12, 4 different times, they should try 13 for a change.
  15. I thought it was "play out the string" not "lose out the string". I think something's being lost in translation.
