  1. I think you're probably right, I just found the whole situation unnecessary.
  2. Cause it was in Bobcaygeon, where I saw the constellations Reveal themselves one star at a time
  3. Hopefully not, although some adaptation may be a requirement.
  4. Not overly surprised by this, I think the mere fact they let Ryan go was a pretty good indication that a major change was on the way. Couple that with the fact they hired a head hunting agency to seek the best candidates, along with the fact this is a growing trend in baseball and it all adds up. It's very positive news, although it really furthers my confusion over the commitment the Pohlad's made to Mollie. I can't imagine a President of Baseball Ops is going to be overly pleased by being handed his top field general.
  5. Sad but true Craig, although they are not on the threatened for extinction list, and hopefully won't be anytime soon. There is a lot being done in the North to protect Polar Bears from further threat, unfortunately the biggest threat to their widespread range is climate change.
  6. No, it's more a small town thing, Town fairs are very popular all across the country. I think the best one around these parts is the Morden Corn and Apple Festival, those Mennonites do it up right!
  7. Hockey games here typically start at 7:00, well, that's the posted time, it's really 7:15 to allow a beer line buffer.
  8. Because 7 comes after 6...............plus, Tronno.
  9. Yes I do....but my goalie stick is a Warrior....so that can't be me....heh, heh. Russell MB?......probably the Fleury's.
  10. Having read your taste in beer, any day my friend.
  11. 'Shut your big mouth, you gotta do what you feel is real".
  12. Twelve men broke loose in seventy three From Millhaven Maximum Security Twelve pictures lined up across the front page Seems the Mounties had a summertime war to wage
  13. Some facts about Tim Horton's. Yes, it's popular here, it has roughly twice the number of outlets as McDonald's in Canada. It holds 62% of the coffee market here.......wut?! It also holds 76% of the baked goods market in Canada......geez their donuts aren't that good. Tim Horton died in 1974, long before their popularity took hold. I would hazard a guess that not many people under the age of 40 have any clue who Tim Horton is. They are owned by Burger King. I don't like their coffee.
  14. Oooh, one of the only redeeming things about Toronto is Flying Monkeys, one of the best breweries out there. The Smashbomb Atomic IPA is fantastic and so is the Cadillac Graveyard Oatmeal Stout. Haven't had the Acadian Groove yet but it's on the list.
  15. Polar Bears are not to be trifled with. The guy at the 45 second mark of this video is a pinhead. He obviously wasn't on the same buggy as this fellow. http://mythatchedhut.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Bear-Bus-2s.jpg
  16. Secondly, no mention of Nickelback http://cdn.ymaservices.com/editorial_service/media/images/000/049/395/original/words-nauseous.gif.gif?1406031815 , Loverboy, sure.
  17. Do yourself a favour and get this, it's brilliant.
  18. Bill Barilko disappeared that summer He was on a fishing trip The last goal he ever scored Won the Leafs the cup They didn't win another till nineteen sixty two The year he was discovered I stole this from a hockey card I keeped tucked up under My fifty-mission cap I worked it in I worked it in to look like that
  19. Neil Young not withstanding, as a general rule Canadians favourite bands are typically not the ones that popular outside the border. Drake is pretty popular but for a certain generation he'll always have that Degrassi Jr. High thing hanging over is head........Oh Jimmy! http://www.mumslounge.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/drake3.jpg
  20. http://www.reactiongifs.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/dr-evil-right.gif
  21. If you're not a K.D. Lang fan.....you should be.
  22. Commercial free no less. 12 million people tuned in, that's ridiculous in a country this size. It ranks as the second highest broadcast audience in Canadian history, behind the 2010 Olympic Men's Gold Medal hockey game...........that's crazy. I was at their last show in Winnipeg, I cried. I watched their last show on TV, I cried. This is the band of my youth, the soundtrack of my life. They are uniquely Canadian, but without intention, that's their appeal and Gord Downie's brilliance. Thanks RB!
