  1. I really like Sano, He`s big, strong, cannon for an arm & very quick for a big man. Sometimes he amazes me at 3B, they had moved him to RF for a short time & he was very open to that so he very easy to deal with. He needs to grow up more & don`t do anything stupid like getting hurt while goofing around. Hopefully a full year including spring training he can cut down on his errors. That said I don`t thing they can improve his lateral movement. Hope he can shorten his swing especially after the 1st strike, that will help lower his SOs & improve his contacts. He so strong, he doesn`t have to hit it that hard for it to go out, he could even hit more HRs
  2. Stephen Gonsalves got hurt after his short ML stint. shortly after his release he got scooped up by someone. So someone had an eye on him, I think he could do well. Gordon believe will improve at Rochester after he has adapted to AAA. I think he has no future here which makes him a trading chip that will increase this year. I`d like to see Jeffers take a big step this year
  3. The point that Donaldson didn`t choose Atlanta on Monday shows they gave a serious offer
  4. Yeah! I don`t think Kepler has peaked yet, I think he has just found his groove. It`ll be fun to watch! A healthy Buxton would also help so we aren`t so dependent him. Last year I believed he got worn down a fresh Kepler I believe would have gotten 40 HRs
  5. The reason I`m high on Archer is his trading value is much lower than what he could be. That said I would not Larnauch for him because Larnauch trading value is so much higher. A player`s value like Rooker for example would be reasonable
  6. I`d like to take the time to thank all of Twins Daily for being! Off season would be totally boring w/o this forum to be a sound board & articles which inform us & provoke us in discussion. We have been always a great farm system. In recent past, except for a few exceptions of exceptional natural talented players, we had many prospects that didn`t pan out. The ones that stick out are Hicks, he had all the tools, even some that we have now like Buxton, Sano & Berrios that took longer than normal to develop. Of course there injuries, laziness & discouragement of the players but I wonder if some of it was past inadequate coaching ? I have more hope in the present coaching staff & hope we bring more prospects into full fruition more quickly
  7. I think we go could after Castellanos for let`s say 4yrs. or longer, he can be our 1st baseman/ RF sub until Cruz wants to hang it up of coarse if the price is right. If Texas is willing to take a gamble, it`s worth looking into
  8. What I`ve heard Pittsburgh changed his pitching & it didn`t work out
  9. I liked the way the Twins played revolving chairs w/ AAA pitching last year. I hope they use the false starters more this season, to keep the starters & BP fresh for the whole season. In this scenario they can use their AAA more effectively & give them more ML experience
  10. I was criticized in a previous article for not wanting to trade Jeffers for the same reasons you mentioned just because we have Garver. We need him desperately for back up, hopefully he`ll be called up by next Sept, & like was mention we could use Garver more at 1st to take advantage of his bat especially when Rortvedt is ready. PS I haven`t given up on Astudillo
  11. Very interesting article, to me Cruz `s influence & mentoring is invaluable
  12. It`s a reasonable opinion, Which I believe is pretty on. I`m a family man & if I had the opportunity of a ton of money w/ a chance to make close to 100 million. The extra millions would not make me choose a team far from family. I`d love to give tickets away to family to come watch me play on a daily basis. & I`m saying Donaldson is like me for what I`ve see n
  13. I don`t have the link ready but I saw clip where he bought his mom a new expensive car
  14. Donaldson is a family man (which isn`t bad) he wants to be near mom & family. He doesn`t need the $ , he wants it help out his family
  15. I`ve been a Twins fan since they existed & I`ll always be no matter what. I`m thankful to the Pohlads for bringing the WS trophy to MN. in `89 & `91. I don`t blame them for not signing their FAs even Ryu, they might have had a good reason but now if they don`t go out find a descent trade or 2 & be very creative, I`d be very disappointed & even betrayed. there`s a lot good possibilities out there if they only open themselves to that & maybe very creative. Pitching is still the priority but a pretty good SS would be nice. We have many players that can be traded. There`s many I`d hate to see go but we can`t save them all on the 40 man. We can trade player that are redundant (meaning keeping several player when we need only one). We only need to decide if we want to go all in & win it all or only advance further in the PS for the time being, we can not be status quo or we`ll be left out in the cold.
  16. I think center field takes a lot out of Kepler, keep him in RF. We need him there
  17. I`d go no more than 100M for 5yrs. prorating.Donaldson is milking this for all he can get. We have an advantage because we can move him to DH when he can`t handle 3rd
  18. When will he be ready to pitch? I think Detroit would rather hold unto him waiting for him to heal for him to help down the road when they would compete
  19. Thanks for your article. I too like the boyd but share the same feeling that being in the same division we wouldn`t get a good deal. I like Snyderguard but I wouldn`t destroy our outfield for him ( Buxton is too valuable). I like the Sale trade but I wouldn`t trade away our catching future, I`d delete Jeffers & except less cash What I like the best is the Archer trade. Face value I think Pittsburgh is getting a better deal but actually Archer is worth it. I`m also interested in Ray, I think Arizona have an abundance of starting pitching. Other is J. Gray if Colorado is open for a trade. If not now maybe later for either.
