  1. Watched the video, it's incredible how much territory he covers. Just think Donaldson at 3B, Simmons at SS, Buxton at CF, Broxton at LF, Kepler at RF, Polanco at 2B and Sano at 1B; there'll be no cheap hits and a lot of hits taken away.
  2. I was also very surprised that Odo wasn't signed sooner, wish him well. They shouldn't have put so much stock on freaky 2020. I was expecting more hits, Orioles must have pitched a good game
  3. I was a little confused at 1st. I thought the title read "the top 5 tool prospects". So I was a little taken back by your selections. So I started reading your article with a certain mind set. We are blessed with an abundance of high ranking power hitters but not so much on the other tools that are important. They are great players but I agree with High Heat, I don't think we should hoard them. We need to trade them as was intended when drafted, to support the areas where we are lacking.
  4. I'm super excited about fielding a World Series caliber defense. I enjoy a great defensive play or taking an extra base or a clutch hit even more than a meaningless homer. The fact that he went public with his struggles shows me he has this under control. I'm not worried about it. Injury can happen to anyone so I'd like the Twins carry a true SS replacement. Totally agree with you Simmons will make everyone better. The greatest bargain the Twins made for a long time. Go Twins!
  5. I think throughout the year our young pitchers will get in a lot of innings. Due to getting used to a longer season plus almost all our starters aren't work horses.
  6. I agree you can never have enough good pitching. I like our depth and what you mentioned about improved defense goes a long way. Still trading for an ace is very appealing, not only gaining an ace but also making room on the 40 man roster of redundant players for needed ones.
  7. I'm very pleased with the rotation. Dobnak, Thorpe and even Smeltzer, Baldelli was impressed with. So we can handle Happ's setback
  8. If Baez is willing come over to join Berrios on a reasonable deal I'd jump on it. Otherwise Simmons is a great plan B. Give Lewis some time to heal
  9. I like that the FO is focusing on defense as well as bats. All the RH LFers are having a good spring training. Garlic and Broxton are the best but Broxton stand out. His glove and speed alone qualifies him to be put on the 40 man, which we desperately need as a PR, Buxton or defensive replacement. His break out hitting makes it a no brainer. It seems to me also that's there a player option. I'd give up all hope in the Twins if they let him walk.
  10. Great that they're willing to negotiate. He's beefed up, Let's get it done.
  11. Pineda had a great outing which strengthened the depth of our rotation outlook.
  12. IMO he'll be back. Pineda had a very nice outing
  13. IMO many positions are up for grabs. MN has just as much chance of winning the ALC as anyone. They maybe an ace away from cementing it.
  14. I've been very encouraged on progress of the players. The starting rotation has been wonderful, Berrios, Maeda, Shoemaker, Thorpe and Dobnak (even not having Simmons or Donaldson in the lineup). Pineda and Happ haven't pitched yet hope they do well. The starting line-up has done well, just think when they are all together. The players that are vying for the extra spots (Broxton, Garlic, Rooker, Astudillo and Lin) are doing well; Broxton seems more relaxed and more disciplined at the plate. Initially the relievers are having difficulty but they are working it out. But most of all Simmons is in camp. When everyone gets their ABs and the team start playing together, look out!
  15. What really hurts is that it was a fluke accident
  16. To me this is the best move the Twins has done in recent history. Polanco became an all star at SS because of his bat and because of his bat many fans wanted him to stay there. But this move will be easier for for him to stay healthy and accomplish his full potential as an all star, gold glove and even as a MVP in 2019 he was projected.
  17. I'd say this evaluation is pretty close. Although I'd project Polanco much higher. Being more relaxed and healthier I'd put him right behind Kepler. My guess is 25, I'm also betting that Donaldson will hit more bombas maybe more than Kepler depending on how many games he plays.
  18. IMO just throw out 2020 and forget about it. Expect a great season from Kepler.
  19. Danny Santana was my mom's favorite Twin. Sorry to see him leave, the Twins could've used him as a true super utility.
  20. I've always liked Celestino and have high hopes for him. I expect he'll be called up this year, I'm surprised that I haven't heard any criticism about his few games at high A and his high leg kick.
  21. I'd rather see Arraez as Sano replacement at 1B. It's seems to me a position he might be more suited for and 1 more option to keep his bat in the line up.
  22. I 1st I 1st discovered magnesium when I had kidney stones. I researched my problem and found out that magnesium helped calcium to be absorbed in the bones and keeps it from building up in the tissues. Then is when I read that muscle cramps were caused by magnesium deficiency.
  23. The big difference between Dozier and Gordon is heart, Dozier had it but Gordon doesn't. Gordon has the pedigree but he'll never be a Dozier. When Dozier found his nook at 2B, he ran with it. Gordon had difficulty adjusting to every level. One day Gordon can be an average MLB player but he'll never be another Dozier. Excuse me but that's my personal observation.
  24. I agree with you fat I agree with you fatbat. You can't doubt Wes Johnson, Twins a solid A. Also I'd rate CLE much higher, their coaching staff does wonders. Emmanuel Clase is very electric
  25. Thanks rdehring, for that heads up on that strib article. I`ve been looking for an article like that about Broxton. I loved it, it gave encouragement that Broxton is on the right path. Here's the article if anyone would like to read https://www.startribune.com/for-your-confusion-twins-outfielders-keon-broxton-and-byron-keiron-buxton/600028332/
