    Well, I find it to be a very rich and enjoyable site. As said above, they sometimes offer half-price deals. Currently doing in-depth biographical stories on the top 100 baseball players of all time. Lots of good content in various sports, a few clunkers. I follow their writers on the Twins, Gopher basketball and football, baseball in general, Packers, 49s (my fiancée's team).

    I watched several A's games on tv and was very impressed by Chapman. Excellent ability to snag hard-hit balls to his right and his left. Clutch hitting.

    This is what I need to hear, too: “My best advice it to tell them you love them, regardless of what the next day may bring. And that the Twins should sign at least two starting pitchers so we can all sleep better. Maybe three.”

    I think this observation from Matt's OP is quite insightful: "Sometimes we have to remember that player development is not linear and this is a very difficult sport where even just being slightly off in a small facet of your game can be the difference between being a star and being AAA fodder."

    So good to see reflections by women on this thread. I played tennis and volleyball into my thirties and a bit in my forties. Some softball, too. Also, as a relative newcomer, it's been fun to see now that there are other women behind some of these cool usernames!

"Make it crystal clear to every single employee on and off the field that behavior like Osuna’s and Taubman’s is absolutely unacceptable." Consequences, men!

    I wonder wether Rocco and the front office will give Garver a meaningfully larger number of starts in 2020. I know that having him start less than 50% of the games this past season has been credited with keeping him fresh (and Castro, too), but why not increase his starts behind the plate closer to 60%? The calculator on my phone says that would mean 97 games. Too many? Might depend on whatever backup is in play. I certainly wouldn't to give La Tortuga 60+ starts at catcher.

    I would nuance all these mentions of possibly calling Kirilloff up in September, in light of the reduction in roster size next season (26 through August 31, no more than 28 in September). AK presumably could well be among two late season additions, depending on injuries and the like, but added pitching would be at least as likely, imo.

    Can't deny the awesomeness of Houston right now, but man, the Dodgers getting to the Series three years in a row and losing all three? It could actually happen, but what a letdown that would be in Tinsel Town.

    Man, that's a shame insagt1 that the Rochester NY media ignore the MN Twins. At least you get to see a lot of our players coming up and going down.

    Finishing 40 games above .500 is quite an accomplishment for our team! Let's hope Luiz recovers quickly and the bats heat up.

    Thanks for a whole season of Weekly Reviews - one of my favorite parts of the site. I agree about moving Eddie -- I would drop Rosario to 5th or 6th in the batting order -- not too far down, since he does hit those bombas.

    I agree about Arraez as Rookie of the Year, Garver as Most Improved, and Rogers as Pitcher of the Year. With all due nods in Garver's direction, though, I have to pick Cruz as most valuable. The missing defensive contribution as DH is more than compensated for with the power hitting in meaningful situations and the well-attested intangible of clubhouse leadership.
