    I don’t know what we have but let’s find out. Right Now... I’m saying that you can’t send him down. No matter who comes back healthy. Gonna have to have him cool down a bit before you even consider that. And give him occasional OF work.

    It happens. Not worried about anything other than the bullpen. There is enough roster talent to perform well through these injuries. Play Wade tonight... oh yeah and play Arreaz again.

    I understand why they bunted. I wouldn’t have bunted in that situation because we had a couple more innings to take a crack at it. I believe the bunt call was questionable but regardless if it should have been called for or not. You have to at least execute. If a bunt is called for... a bunt must be executed. To me that’s the biggest issue. Yet I slept fine.

    Most of the posters understand the Partial No Trade List concept but in case anyone is confused... I'll add a little to it. I believe the partial no-trade clause was created by player agents as protection to avoid signing a contract and getting traded to a terrible team. I don't want to play for Seattle because they are terrible, the flights are long and the manager is a jerk. However, it didn't take long for agents to realize that the player didn't need protection against being traded to a terrible team because the terrible teams were not buying the players with the clout to get a no trade built into his contract. So they turned it around and used the partial no-trade contract as leverage by identifying the teams most likely to be looking to make a deal. By listing the teams most likely to ask for the player in a trade... the limited no trade almost becomes a full no trade because the others are probably not asking for the player. Now the buying team, if they truly want the player, must negotiate with the player to give him what he wants to waive the no-trade. If the Yankees want to make a deal for Madbum, they will have to reach an agreement with Madbum. It's a solid plan. With the Twins not on the list... they simply have to make a deal with the Giants and take the contract as is... Madbum has no leverage because he can't ask for a better contract. Madbum and his agent huddled together to come up with the list of teams that they thought would be buyers and it didn't include the Twins... SURPRISE!!!

    I'd love to have Bumgarner... Just worried about paying for the same real estate twice after Bumgarner his free agency in the off-season. But Yeah... I'd love to have Bumgarner. Yes... we need to add bullpen arms regardless but if anyone thinks that we need bullpen more than starting pitching... I strongly suggest that you take a look at how many innings our starters/bullpen are eating and compare that ratio with the rest of the league. Then I strongly suggest looking at past starting pitching injury history for all teams for the past decade and use that information for probability assessments and then take a look at how many starters suffered second half collapses. If you can't see the need for a strong starter... you are missing some important history lessons.

    I would Jeff Goldblum myself to the wall just to hear the inside discussions. I'm not sure I'd want to hold their feet to the fire because they won't be the last mistakes they make. I probably made at least two mistakes at work today myself. I honestly believe that any front office can limit these type of mistakes... not by being better assessors of talent player by player but with an overall shift in the fundamentals of the identification of talent. 600K talents are gifts from the baseball gods. Why wouldn't a team out of contention do everything they can to identify 600K talent with mulitple years of control. Why Belisle? Why did Forsythe play every day? Maybe it's why Molitor isn't here. I don't know but wasting roster spots on those two blocked and filled two roster spots that could be used to find 600K talent for 2020. All they had to do was give Anderson the chance that he earned with his performance in Rochester. They chose Belise? This is so logical... that I can't understand how a professional organization can't see it. Whoever decided that Anderson wasn't worth the effort was wrong. Whoever decided that Belisle made more sense for 2020 was wrong. And now I don't trust them. But then again... keep in mind... I probably made a couple of mistakes at work today myself.

    No need to trade Schoop this season... No reason to declare Arraez the starter in 2020 on June 25th, 2019. No need to limit Arraez to just 2B duty only. It is just simply wonderful that Arraez has been establishing himself as an option (legitimate consideration) in 2020, all we got to do is give him a roster spot if he earns it. We've been watching this 2019 version of the Twins deploy. Yet, we still have debate over starter/bench in 2020? Old habits are hard to shake I guess. We can play 12 guys significantly again in 2020 just like we are doing in 2019.

    Agreed... More candidates will identify themselves with a badly timed bad stretch. However... I'm not sure if the National League will loosen up much. With the exception of the Giants and Marlins... You could make a case for every other team.
