  1. I think that’s probably true (5/75), but that also means we should probably make him a QO and that he wouldn’t accept it. So what does that say about what the Twins should demand in return for him?
  2. What would you offer Jeffers and what do you think he would accept?
  3. I tend to be this way for a while, but he’s had about 15 chances. My generosity has worn out, especially with the Buxton question mark. Fedko is currently a detriment to this team and we can’t have that right now. It seems obvious to me that Jeffers will be activated from the IL on Tuesday and it seems like a very low chance that Jackson would clear waivers, so you need to keep him on the roster until you figure out what’s happening with Jeffers at the deadline. Having a 3rd catcher, a banged up Buxton, AND Fedko on this roster just can’t happen. Buxton to the IL until after the AS Break, Jeffers activated, and Roden called up. That solves a lot of problems and provides adequate coverage while we carry three catchers.
  4. Should Caratini have challenged it? Yes. But the pitch went inside and he was set up outside, so he wasn’t in a great spot to know if it was a strike. But with your pitcher scuffling and a chance to get out of the inning, you HAVE to challenge, even if you think it’s kind of a low probability of success
  5. I'm a decade-plus Gleeman and the Geek consistent listener, a long term on again off again SKOR listener, and a recent spotty listener of Destination the Show. My biggest problem with GaTG is that Aaron just flatly refuses to be positive for more than 10 seconds. And taken further, he often does his best to stifle John's positivity. But the Twins content they put out is second to none, so yeah, put me down for about 4 hours per week :) I tend to wander over to SKOR when: a) the Twins are hot and I want more content b) It's speculation season. They have ZERO problem wildly speculating, whereas Aaron and John tend to stay away from that
  6. I think many writers are terrified to say something overtly positive. They assume they'll get pushback. They probably will, but it'll be from miserable people who like to complain about everything. This offense has been good. It's ok to say that because they've literally scored the most runs in the AL. It's incontrovertibly true. Do I expect them to end the year there? No. Not really. But that doesn't change what's happened.
  7. Just say you didn't read the article
  8. I don't know man, it seems like with any sort of actual analysis, the first 5 picks from the last few drafts have gone pretty well 2025: Houston (in AA. Borderline Top 100) Quick (in A+. Safely in the top 200) Young (too early) Ellwanger (too early) Reitz (too early) 2024: Culpepper (Top 50 - Will be called up soon) DeBarge Amick Hill (in some top 100s) Diaw (Developmental Catcher - Already at AA) 2023: Jenkins (Top 25 - Will likely be called up in 2026 at 21yo) Soto (snuck into a couple top 100s, but has been injured) Keaschall - in MLB Winokur Hall 2022: Brooks Lee - in MLB Connor Prielipp - in MLB Schobel Morris - in MLB Ross Matthews (8th round) - in MLB I'd call everything bolded a successful pick.
  9. I’m not even really blaming Shelton for this but I feel like every 50/50 pitching choice he’s made recently has gone the wrong way.
  10. Yes. Yes. Anyone that disagrees with your demand for a PowerPoint presentation of a plan must be a Pohlad. Quite a schtick you’ve created.
  11. If someone told mrtwinsfan the plan he’d simply move the goal posts. It’ll be some version of not good enough, not soon enough, not detailed enough, or some other silliness.
  12. Answer to who? Jesus. Listen to yourself. You sound wildly self-important. Just because you can’t see or don’t know the plan doesn’t mean there isn’t one.
  13. Why is Paredes still included in the bullpen usage chart? Also, Raya isn’t shown.
  14. Unfortunately, I'll be out of town Wednesday. My kids wanted to see Shohei, so we'll just have to hope we catch a Shohei homerun during a 10-1 Twins victory tonight.
  15. Worth noting... I'm 3-0 in person this season.
  16. Cody dropping a "vociferous" on us knuckle draggers!
  17. Thanks. Also, I just noticed the Cody Christie article on the subject
  18. I can't believe that when you wrote this article (before Saturday's game) he had only played 61 innings at SS. I was certain that was wrong. It was correct. He's at 79 now, after having started there the last two games.
