  1. I'm not saying you're wrong here in any way, but a couple post like this have me thinking that it would be fun to dig up the old threads when we drafted guys like Jeffers, Zebby, Ober, etc.
  2. I could have sworn that I just saw an update a couple days ago that he was shut down again. Hope I'm either making that up or the source where I saw that was wrong
  3. If he had won rookie of the year, I don't believe the Twins would've been eligible for the draft pick compensation (whatever that thing is called) because although he was called up early (April 18th), it was past the threshold for "service time manipulation" I believe Luke was called up because they needed a middle infielder and it just so happened to be mid April.
  4. I hope the irony of "Twinsrtheworst" calling out someone for being too negative isn't lost on people.
  5. I can't remember the last time this organization made a move (or non-move) that was viewed as, in any way related to Rookie of the Year possibilities.
  6. I can barely find any info on Rodriguez’s latest status. It’s been over two months since his injury and about 2 months since the surgery. I found a brief update on fantasy pros website, saying that he “started light hitting” Anyone heard anything more substantive about his timeline?
  7. I know being above 500 is fun and all, but like with every series, I’d be happy with a 2-1 series win. Keep doing that and good things will happen.
  8. We're more likely to have 27 guys with at least 1 save
  9. Your first post in a while that didn't have a misspelling or bizarre punctuation. Growth.
  10. I feel like that "ball gets stuck against the outcropping" has bit the Twins in the butt a couple times at Target Field recently. We also had those two weird plays down the right field line in Texas (I think), where one got stuck under the metal bar and another one ricocheted over the fence off of that same bar.
  11. I didn't even actually realize I was quoting YOU there. Once I figure out how to mute people you wont have to worry about me bugging you any more.
  12. Because we could see it wasn't going to work, we knew it a bad challenge. But in general, that's not a terrible spot to challenge. Close pitch, would've ended the inning. Wouldn't have minded it at all if we had two challenges left at the time.
  13. How do I ignore a user? I've looked around and I can't find it.
  14. So why did you complain about Plouffe saying Clemens should be an all star?
  15. When was the last time one of our players laid down an effective bunt?
  16. Does what mean anything? Slugging? The All Star game?
  17. 7th highest slugging in the AL Also... his positional flexibility, which they've started to pay a bit of attention to these last few years
  18. I'm going to partially disagree with you here. I also mute the broadcast sometimes. Like you said, I'm watching. My ears don't need to tell me what my eyes are seeing. I'm not generally muting it because I don't like the play by play. It's usually because the color guy is annoying me or they are doing some other silly thing like Audra talking to a fan. BUT There are times I don't mute the broadcast. Like when Molitor is on. I could listen to him all day. I don't know what it is. When he's talking, I'm locked in and listening. Perkins gets closer to this than the other color guys, but still not on the Molitor level. The other side of the spectrum is Morneau. Awesome Twin. Great dude. But when he's talking it might as well be the Peanuts teacher talking. My brain completely tunes it out and it just become noise. So, the fact that we are muting the broadcast, to me, doesn't say that we don't need broadcasters because I have eyes.... it means we need more consistently good broadcasters. And specifically here, I'm talking about the color analyst position. I think Provus does a perfectly good job as the PBP guy
