  1. Clearly the beard is a push. They are almost identical.
  2. That single hurt Kepler's August OPS
  3. If the Twins get a guy on in the 9th, Max will get another try for #4
  4. Kepler with a 3.750 OPS this month
  5. Lol @ the Angels Fans who thought they were getting Max Kepler
  6. There are going to be a variety of headlines on this one.... Twins acquire... Twins trade.... Twins swap.... Angels acquire.... Angels swap....
  7. I'm not so sure 2017 is the Twins option. I know that has been talked about on here, but I've seen absolutely no evidence of it anywhere else.
  8. Funny... I had tabbed Reid-Foley and Pentecost and was trying to figure out my 3rd piece. Was thinking Perdomo
  9. Well he certainly didn't order Dominican. He's ridding the organization of all things Dominican.
  10. If we trade a starter before the deadline, Berrios better be the replacement. If we don't trade a starter before the deadline, Berrios better replace Duffy. I was perfectly willing to allow Milone and Nolasco to play out the string to the trade deadline and I've been perfectly willing to let Duffy work things out in the Majors, but if Berrios makes one more start at AAA it has to be one of the most baffling, moronic, unforgivable decisions in Twins Front Office history.
  11. Yeah, most people's opinion on trading Dozier is decided by their opinion of Polanco. Baring a trade of him, Polanco will be on this team next year. He's out of options and we aren't going to expose him. I personally thing that as a rookie, Polanco could provide most of the value (different value) that Dozier provides.... at a fraction of the cost. Does saving that money allow the GM to spend it somewhere there is not an obvious replacement? I think so.... So, I'd trade Dozier, assuming we get a decent offer.
  12. I was just thinking about this this morning.... I'm not scouting scale expert, but I assume each of those guys would be at least 70 on the Power tool, and maybe borderline 80. Interesting to see 3 of those guys on the same AAA team at the same time. I suspect they will all remain there until Rochester's season is done, but I suppose if Park is deemed to have "figured it out" he might get the call back up, especially if Vargas comes back to earth.
  13. At least Berrios got to pitch. Meyer just sat there.
  14. I respectfully disagree. Milone for sure and Nolasco to a lesser extend would be viewed, by teams that are desperate, as stopgaps. Short term success might not portend long-term success, but the short term success could continue. Analytics might not recognize that players can "get on a roll" but you'd be niave to think that it's not a real thing
