  1. I never would have sent Berrios down in the first place, but at this point, I'd wait out the 10 more days hoping upon hope that a few teams get desperate. This is about what I would do. I'd wait 10 more days. If the Twins are of the mind to try to get value from Nolasco and Milone, would they keep Berrios down longer? I can't answer that.
  2. If Berrios isn't up yet (and as of 1:07 CDT 7/20/16, that is the case), then I leave him down there until August 1st. It's a lost season and Jose could be making major league starts. I get that, but two more starts in AAA isn't going to change anything about his future. Waiting until Aug 1 allows Nolasco and Milone to get two more starts. We all want them gone, but none of us think we can get anything for them. I mostly agree, but if they pitch decent over those couple starts (like they did the last two games), then you might get a desperate team either willing to take on salary (mostly a Nolasco issue) and/or part with a lottery ticket prospect. Benching them takes that possibility away.
  3. I can't wait for Berrios to burn through 30 more innings over his next 4 (AAA) starts only to have him shutdown by mid September.
  4. It's a little hard to complain about our bullpen after the last two days. Can Chargois start?
  5. Here's how it should go down... 1) Trade Plouffe 2) If #1 happens, then start Sano there every day 3) If #2 fails terribly, then stopgap the position with Nunez 4) If #3 fails terribly, then we've seen that the offseason supply of major league 3b exceed the demand.
  6. He's truly the Suzuki Ichiro of his generation
  7. Good call Molly.... save Jepsen for when we have a lead. The handshake line.
  8. They are only going to hand them out to people sitting from the visitors dugout to the left field foul pole
  9. We can trade Nunez to the Royals 2 days before a failed drug test. Payback!!!!
  10. Our youngsters are seriously struggling with this guy's slider
  11. NOOOOOOOO!!!!! Stay sitting! I like this Nunez.
  12. We're not playing more baseball until tomorrow
  13. I'll be honest... I thought you were being cheeky.
  14. Time to get these players in... Hard stuff is coming
  15. That Dozier AB killed me too. I was at the game, so I didn't have the TV view, but this should be about right. Whatever you think of the decision to bunt here, matters not. First pitch he squared to bunt and pulled back. OK Second pitch he missed on a bunt attempt. MISSED. Not a foul. Just a whiff. He clearly had no interest in bunting even though he was getting the sign to do so. Third pitch. No bunt attempt. The manager must have seen the sadness in Dozier's eyes and called off the bunt. Jesus. Eventually pulls a grounder right down the line for an easy DP (maybe could have had a triple play) Not only do today's player STINK at bunting. They have absolutely no desire to do so. Take a couple pitches... foul off a bunt or two.... and magically, they get to do what they want, and swing away.
  16. Just curious how people would know that Kepler was pounding the ball but getting unlucky.
  17. 353/441/608 for Kepler over his last 2 weeks. If he does that for another two weeks, he should be called up.
