    The notion that Tortuga plays each position poorly is just not true. He's got a good arm behind the plate and has a 1.000 field percentage in 197 innings played.

    Gonna have to disagree with this one. Sure Astudillo is in a little bit of a slump since getting of IR, but he adds a lot of versatility to the field, especially since Garver will have just gotten off IR and Twins will need a little more flexibility at catcher. Arraez will benefit much more from a player development standpoint by playing everyday at AAA. Sure it's nice to have his bat, but the Twins don't really need it right now. They'll have Cruz and Garver back soon, which are two of our best hitters.

    Garver sounds like he'll be ready to play for the weekend, Rocco says Pineda is only going to miss 1 start and Cruz might be ready to go for Tampa. So it'll probably be Smeltzer getting sent down after his start -> Garver being activated and possibly Arraez getting sent down after today's game -> Cruz being activated. When Pineda gets activated its probably going to be either Littel or Astudillo being sent down.

    There's really not much to it. Cruz has a sore wrist and Twins want to rest him. Offense has been doing fine without Cruz so there's no need to rush him.

    Harper has been so damn good. I'm seriously impressed by him this year.

    I think the Twins FO is gearing up for a starting pitcher trade. They're going to give some minor league guys a shot to put in some innings at the bigs to give them experience for the future, but they are not going to leave that #5 spot rotating if the minor league guys don't do well. Also you're just not going to be able to fully trust Pineda to give you a full season of innings when he missed all of last year and he's still battling knee issues. The Twins will make a move.

    I personally think that fans pay too much attention to whatever power rankings there are out there. So what if some no names who think they're hotshot baseball analysts put the Twins in 4th place on a power rankings list? You know Rocco and the players don't pay attention to that garbage. The only thing that matters are wins and the end prize of the WS trophy. Should we care if we don't get respect from ESPN or MLB for winning? No.

    Milwaukee has given up the 4th most home runs in the league. Perfect. If the Twins do good over these next series (Brewers, Rays, Cleveland) the doubters will have little left to use to discount our team. Let's prove them wrong.

    No Arraez in the line up. I'm guessing Twins announcing a couple of roster moves today. They don't want Arraez sitting on the bench when he could be playing everyday in AAA

    Yeah looking at the numbers that Pineda has when it comes to the 2nd and 3rd time through the batting order I think the Twins might be trying to look at Pineda as an "opener" type of pitcher.

    My guess: Arraez and Adams will be sent to Rochester on Friday. Cruz will be activated from DL. Brusdar will take Pineda's spot against the Brewers and Pineda will be put in the BP.

    The Twins don't need him for a late season run. They need the FO to go out and get 1 or 2 reliable BP arms. Trevor will not be in the Twins BP again this season if the Twins keep winning.

    I think people are sleeping on the trade value of Cave, Raley, and Rooker. Those guys should be some of the first names the Twins throws on the block.

    Arraez should not be in the trade discussion. This dude is a utility player that could be priceless for the Twins in the future years if he hits well and defends well. I'd say every prospect except Graterol (potential Ace), Kirilloff (potential future 1st baseman), and Arraez (potential future super utility) should be on the trade block.

    At this point I almost have faith in every lineup that Rocco throws out there. It's insane that the Twins are doing all this without 2 of their top hitters in Cruz and Garver. Once those guys come back...oh boy
