  1. It might be tough tonight, but you never know.
  2. Your suggestion did not fall on blind eyes.
  3. In and out today, but we have to win this one this evening. Verlander is a shell of himself and the Twins need to capitalize and put him out of his misery. Verlander is a mess of a human. He sold out and is tied up with Kate Upton. Burn Verlander to the ground. For the first time when it counts, I am raising the "Flag of Our Fathers" (or sons, depending on the TD member).
  4. Wow, this is an icky sticky thread topic. Instinctively, I would side with the victim (woman in most cases), but as we all know, a good amount of men and women both have ticks, clicks and some unpleasant things going on with their mental state. I believe the best preventive measure going forward is to have the parents of the soon to be college students talk to them about this grotesque situation and advise them not to put themselves in a precarious position (better said than done). Maybe with college orientation, the college can have a seminar on this subject, and give the students tools on how to avoid this kind of situation. I say this with the assumption that these crimes mostly happen when alcohol is entered into the equation. If a group of women or men are going to a beer bust or house party, maybe they would be best advised to have one or two of their group stay sober and be an overseer of their friends and try their best to prevent their comrades from putting themselves in a compromising situation. Other than that, this is kind of a cluster **** situation - there are definitely no perfect answers to the equation, and this doesn't include random rapes on a campus walking from one place to another.
  5. Yeah, I am not sure how that happened I don't even remember putting it together.
  6. Sorry late to the party. Been very busy lately. Here's a pic of me and my beautiful family.
  7. Hunter will be back if he ends the season as the first half has started. That would probably equate to 22-25HR's, 260-.270BA, and a suspect OBP .310.-.320 over a full season. Here's the deal, rebuilding a ball club is not just the art of bringing up prospects to replace obsolete veterans. A team needs a philosophical change. I think the Twins have started this in good fashion, whether that be Molitor, new coaches, or Hunter. Hunter, in my opinion has made a great difference in creating a new clubhouse culture with this ball club. It takes more than one year to make a chemistry change. Dozier is more hard charged as a leader, Joe Mauer has a smile on his face when celebrating the victories - these are the result of something we are not privy to. I am no expert, but I believe Torii to have been a difference maker this year and one of the causes of my above words.
  8. I hope ABW does well and has a chance at being a serviceable MLB player, but this extreme boner for power numbers is alarming. Let's lay off the Viagra for now and let this fella figure some more things out at AA. I must admit I am surprised by the phenomena that has built up around this guy. He will not be called up to the bigs this year unless there is some unforeseen event that is very grim. Like I said, I hope the best for him, but there is a good chance he walks down the boulevard of the likes of Phil Plantier, Adam Hyzdu, and other AAAA power hitters. His high SO rate and low BB rate, to me, make that the likely outcome. Anything is possible, but the Adam Brett Walker boner will lead to blue balls - no need to torture yourselves.
  9. Not gonna say much, but this is the first time since the first half of the 2010 season that the Twins had a legitimate clean-up hitter batting 4th in their line-up. I don't know what position this guy will play long term and I am sure he will have his struggles at the plate in the near future. I will shrug that off and keep my cool as Sano is the real ****ing McCoy. The man has an aura that is undeniable. P.S. A shout out to "Mike Wants Win". We finally have nice things!
  10. The last month, the Twins offense has sucked... super duper sucked. If you cannot score runs and have to rely on a bullpen containing the mediocre pieces that we have, days like today will happen more often than not. I liken our bullpen to a buffet. When you go to a buffet, I would imagine one is excited to have a different variety of choices. The Twins Bullpen Buffet contains one Cream Cheese Wanton (Perkins) and the rest is dog ****. Certainly, I would like to see the Twins clean out the filler veterans in the bullpen, but who is to say the guys they call up from the minors would be any better. Tonkin has been butt cheese, Nick Burdi has stalled exponentially, Oliveros is more than a wild card and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. We best get comfortable with the dog **** buffet. As far as managing goes, hell, Bruce Bochy makes mistakes, all managers make mistakes. It's baseball, you cannot control how the ball bounces. Sure, once in a great while a manager can make a difference, but that is very rare. The way I look at it is this: the Twins split a 4 game series against a very good Royals ball club on their home turf. That's not too awful and we are 4 games over .500. It is July 5th, who would have dreamed that one up? You don't trade top prospects for bullpen help, so I would surmise we buckle up and hold on for our lives and enjoy the Dog **** Buffet with an occasional cream cheese wanton.
  11. I'd hate to break the bad news to you, but your avatar is not a centipede. It is a silverfish.
  12. I made her much, much, much, much more attractive than she is in real life. That has to count for something?
  13. Without the chins, It would not be Kent Hrbek. It was a necessity.
  14. I lost my electricity for a few hours tonight. I was hoping to unveil the Rally Roger's replacement during the game. No go - but here is a preview. "Flag of Our Fathers"
  15. I am at a loss. I no longer have the Olsen twins.
  16. You take away altering the eyes and the fun starts slipping away. I know it's not your issue.
  17. The Twins need a jolt here. Introducing: Comeback Kim (Cyclops Style)
  18. I wish she was able to read your post. Your doo-dads would be in a vice if that were the case.
  19. I'd choose the stroganoff - next time pick up the Italian Shells & Cheese. That is the big winner.
  20. Stringer Bell has been a big proponent of Eddie since at least last years Arizona Fall League.
