  1. Well, on a positive note, Gibson had a strikeout per inning tonight.
  2. Let's see what Sal Perez is when he is 32. The Twins had ample opportunities to take advantage of Joe's good/great years and they did not. I must say that it is killing my spirit to see Mauer become this kind of player. Just frickin' killing me.
  3. Yeah, I agree. Perez Hilton is dynamic. I wasn't aware he from Kansas City. Good to know, back to the ball game.
  4. No, but thanks for asking. As I approach my 40th birthday, my eye-site has held up well. No reading glasses yet - fingers crossed.
  5. They probably had him playing CF.
  6. Not me, I'd rather see them get toasted by Madsen & Herrera... just sayin'. Plus, if Davis and Holland spill the beans and name fellow conspirators, maybe we will rid ourselves of likes of Tom Cruise, TRAVOLTA, and that worthless actor from Cheers. I am trying to be positive. I want to see the greatness in the nucleus of suffering and despair.
  7. Well my prediction is in the toilet. I hope you are right. It has been ugly past six games. The ball isn't bouncing our way, It is getting hit in the air, and over the fence. Not that it matters right now, but I hope Wade Davis and Greg Holland are accused of being financial supporters of a Scientology Terrorist Cell and are thrown in prison tonight, before they have a chance to pitch.
  8. My gut tells me that Vargas and Hicks go yard tonight and Plouffe goes 3-4 and the Twins salvage this series with a 4-2 victory. That is my optimistic quote for today.
  9. To me, in the long run, Nunez will have a much better MLB career than Santana. That's just me believing in the words I preach, and I am sure it is the same for you. We'll just have to leave it at that and see how it plays out.
  10. I'm sad for Rosario. He should have waited another 15-20 years to have children and enjoyed his youth.
  11. Please Stauffer. Nunez cannot seem to get any love on this site, he is a very good bench player, and he can play 3B, SS adequately and maybe 2B with having a decent bat. I'm tired of the Nunez hate.
  12. No more tricks up my sleaves. This is the last of it... Chris Young is garbage - this needs to stop.
  13. And for good measure, Consider the Flag Raised. Now, let's proceed in burning the ****ing Royals to the ground. No mercy.
  14. Something needs to be done. The Twins will fail if Mauer and Plouffe keep on stinking up the joint at the plate. This calls for a Voodoo Priest. The intensity in his eyes will reclaim both players hitting prowess... along with the sacrifice of an animal or two or six.
  15. For what we have, that is the perfect line-up at this time.
  16. I commend the job Rosario did hitting in the 5 spot the last few days or more, but it is definitely not ideal and Suzuki batting in that spot is less than inspiring x infinitely. Vargas brings the element of fear to the opposing pitcher and I hope he scares the **** out of them this time around. We need the power threat in the middle of the line-up. It has always been obvious, but it has become a glaringly obvious desperate need the past week. Kill Em' All Kennys!
  17. Losing 2 games in a row is not a big deal. It's the trend right now that is concerning. It is time for an intervention of sorts and switch a few things up. I certainly am not promoting trades of our top-mid prospects to strengthen the team. Promote from within, lose some of the dead weight and see how that works. If that move works then we will probably have to cross another bridge in the next month and a half. One step at a time.
  18. The good thing is the Twins are still 9 games over .500 on June 6. For this we should all be grateful. Except for Dozier, Hunter, and perhaps Rosario, the hitters are slumping, a week or two ago things were more on the upswing. To keep something working well, you need to make adjustments on the fly, and this really does seem like the time for the Twins to make some adjustments. Certainly the easiest of adjustments would be to recall Vargas, option Santana down. Sure, he's gonna strike out a lot, but we are missing fear from the middle of our line-up. We need the fear. Stauffer and Duensing being released would be a good adjustment, replacing them with Tonkin, Oliveros or maybe even being risqué and calling up Zach Jones. I like our everyday outfield with Rosario, Hicks, and Hunter. I can live with an everyday infield of Plouffe, Escobar, Dozier and Mauer. Herrmann has gave it his best, and although Pinto has being mediocre, this would be an adjustment I would be on board with. Herrmann has been a good soldier, but in the long run we need to see what Pinto can do with limited playing time, although I would cut back Suzuki's playing time to give pinto more reps. These are not drastic moves, make them and let's see if it helps the cause. Doing nothing right now does not seem like a good idea.
  19. I have not started many threads, but I pretty much regret every post I make.
  20. I know on this site when we talk Joe Mauer, it is a hot button topic that gets us nowhere between the opposing factions, but I want to say a few things and I hope it isn't taken negatively. Joe is one of my favorite players, I have always backed him up on this site. I have to admit, it's really discouraging to see him hitting in the .260's on June 4th. Putting 2009 aside as an anomaly, I really miss the .330BA, .400OBP, and 10ishHR's. I am starting to program myself into thinking Joe grew old quick and the years of catching took their toll. The positive is that I am not ready yet to resign myself to that outcome and I am hoping he can find his mojo again. Damn, if Mauer can end the season hitting .310, with an upper .300'sOBP, it will make this team a whole helluva lot better. I am preparing myself for the worst, but am hoping for the best, and I damn well hope the latter outcome happens. As for Hicks, when the Twins drafted him, it was a known fact the he was pretty raw. These days, sometimes it takes a player drafted out of high school 7-9 years to figure it out before they make an impact. Trevor Plouffe is a good comparable. I don't know if Hicks will fail or succeed, but he certainly looks like a different player the third time around. I guess time will tell. All I can say is I hope they both succeed and help this club reach it's potential and maybe challenge for a playoff spot.
  21. I just assumed this thing would have a short lifespan, but as things have turned out, I was very mistaken. Now I feel obligated to Raise the Rally Roger as I don't want to jinx or screw anything up.
  22. Actually, I don't know. I missed it.
