  1. Ash, how many purses have you lost?
  2. No doubt. Run out of toilet paper and a back up plan is in place.
  3. Don't worry String. I don't look anymore.
  4. That must be the work of Texas' poet laureate Ennis Gary Willy Schram.
  5. We must have the same calendar friend. I'll buy the same brand for 2016.
  6. Question: The Twins' bullpen has blown chunks this season. What is the fool proof way to fix this human wreckage?
  7. The dream is over, now the nightmares have set it. It's a tough situation when your dream/nightmare has Matt Walbeck starting at catcher and there is a rainbow in the background and cute little bunnies hopping around in foul territory. I think I am going to have to drink more alcohol to make my sleep void of any visions.
  8. Like minded with everyone, if abortion can be avoided, that is a great thing. From the perspective of a guy that grew up on the wrong side of the tracks in the city. I don't see how sexual education will help the majority of the impoverished youth, but I do see how it will help the middle class and upper class youth. It's probably a moot point, for the last two classes I brought up, because their parents probably do an okay job distributing that kind of information. Even if they are religious, they understand the hard line reality of society. Their kids will have sex, but they have an underlining desire for their kids to have a good life without slitting their throats by having kids when they are kids themselves. I have no statistics on this, but I would imagine a great amount of abortions come from this class off people, because they have a better understanding of what it takes to make it in this world, and they do not want their children to have to endure that kind of struggle in their journey in life. Giving them a chance to follow in their parents footsteps. For the poor folk, it is a total different story. From what I have seen, poor folk are usually religious in a harmful way, their kids are raised by the streets. If safe sex kind of messages are brought forth when they are in school, it will usually fall on deaf ears, because these kids have a contempt for the system, they don't give a rat's ass. No one should be surprised by modern American Gangsterism or a destructive natures towards our society. They don't give a **** and that's the bottom dollar. I have a sister, and she had a kid when she was 16, and another one when she was 19. Her life was permanently made a lot more difficult because of this. She never considered having an abortion, nor do I think the majority of these folks do - obviously, their dad is no longer in the picture (he is in the big house). Because the vicious circle continues. Until we can give these people a fair shot and put in a great amount of resources into people in these situations, this crap will continue. The class systems are certainly drifting farther apart, and as whole we bicker about a bunch of stuff that is the news of the day, but in all reality, it doesn't mean ****. I was born to 18 and 17 year old stoners, they were not built to be parents at, they ended up becoming coke heads - my childhood sucked. I should have been an abortion and at times in my youth and young adulthood, I wished that happened. A person can only take so much. I hope the government makes abortion illegal again, because it will explode in their faces. Safe abortions will take place in our society, just like purchasing marijuana... we all know someone, or a friend of friend. But there will be riots and protests, it will be immense and throw a wrench into the gears. This way, maybe we can have a real change and get rid of the **** ball politicians that govern our society. The Dems and Reps need to be eradicated and we need to place our feet in new sand as a society. It won't be easy, but this is what we really need.
  9. Hey Vanimal. Bark here. 3rd time caller, devoted listener. I took your advice and did some window peeping. It was exhilarating… I felt like a young buck again and the visuals, whether pleasing or disgusting were damn well worth it. What's your take on the Twins breaking there losing streaking in a topsy turvy, high scoring game. Are we about to break out of the doldrums or is this an anomaly? Another question - what does a day in Austin, TX look like for you? Is it this - sleep in, catch some Tex-Mex and a Margarita for Lunch, go home and take a nap, Hit Green Mesquite for some BBQ for dinner and head to the Continental Club for a show and some cocktails… rinse and repeat?
  10. To be honest. Hunter can be explained away. Mauer is much harder. His scenario makes my heart feel heavy, It makes me somewhat depressed. This team will be lesser going into the future with him at the 1B helm. I had great dreams, I had the utmost optimism about the guy. I truly routed for this man. But now he a an open sore almost as bad as Nolasco. I hope he retires and let's this era dissipate from our minds. For Mauer it went away quick. It is a great area of sadness for me. It shreds me apart saying this.
  11. I am not denying that this quote is true, but I am certainly glad that their view points have been put out there and are available for all to see. Those three men mixed in with a few others have brought significant attention to this view of belief. I am grateful for their contribution.
  12. Hey Vanimal. Bark here again. Holy smokes, I cannot believe I got through to you twice in one day. It's like winning the lottery! I will use your advice wisely and to the fullest extent. Love your show, since it's debut, it certainly has made this radio station more formidable.
  13. Refreshing article. That's a tough business to work in to hold those views. He certainly has my respect, support and solidarity.
  14. Hello. I am a forty year old man who has ignored his wife during the summer months for the past 16 years to enjoy the hobby of watching Twins baseball. Now that my spirit is starting to break because of the unbearable baseball this team is playing, I have been thinking about giving it up. The problem is I am not too excited about talking to my wife. I now view my summers as a vacation from her. Do I give it a shot or do I go back to the hobbies of my early twenties, such as practicing the art form of being a peeping tom, making popcorn jewelry, and going to random churches on Sundays dressed as a woman? I'm confused. I need some advice.
  15. I really do try to be optimistic, but the collapse is in full throttle mode. It's a shame as I thought this team could hang on and struggle through the tough times. They are out of gas and it shows. A non-existent bullpen and an inconsistent line-up have slit the throat. I hope it is a quick death and not one where they bleed out slowly and drag out the death sequence.
  16. Yup, I'm hearing him. I remember back in 1987, sometime in early August when the Twins were playing in Toronto and in a funk. There were a group of fans who kept chanting/singing these lines when Puck was at bat - "We All Hate Kirby Puckett, He Can't Even Hit a Bucket." Even as 12 year old, I thought that was lame and not the slightest bit innovative. 28 years later - same old shiznit.
  17. I think the Twins can survive that tremendously disappointing lost opportunity.
  18. If I was Dombrowski and I were to take that position. Arte Moreno would have to agree that Mike Scioscia is toast and out of a job and Moreno must take a step back and not interfere with my vision. 2 things that I have a hard time believing can happen.
  19. I am no Tigers expert, but I could see a scenario where Dombrowski was planning on leaving no matter what Illitch's feelings were about him coming back or going next year. They developed players, made some big trades and threw a ton of money into it. They had a nice long run, but ultimately failed in accomplishing the ultimate goal. It was time for a change… time to move on. I could see where Dombrowski would be very interested in being Larry Lucchino's replacement in Boston and Illitch, as a kind gesture let him out of his contract to get a leg up in the process of obtaining that position. I would be surprised if Boston wasn't very interested. Just a guess.
  20. Brotha's from the same mutha - Ken & Clete Boyer.
  21. Because Boyer is Jim Pohlad's illegitimate son and he smells like Cherry Laffy Taffy.
  22. Drag. I don't know if it is an acid flashback or what, but it appears to me the Canadian fans are more synchronized with their clapping. It's like watching some certain clips from Tim and Eric's Awesome Show.
