  1. Is this all conjecture from viewing Buxton or is their medical proof to back up this assessment? I don't think it's fair to Buxton or anyone to imply a medical condition that may be temporary or chronic.
  2. Include in that perspective the difference between minor and major league pitching and defense. Consider it's not like comparing apples to apples and oranges to oranges. consider the overall line-ups and how these hitters are positioned. I never liked comparisons like these, because they are skewed according to a variety of environments and conditions.
  3. Can someone define 'Culture' and how do you change it? I think they need a roster better suited to the style of play, the manager employs. I lso think they need to choose players who are willing to do anything to win, not just enhance their chances of padding stats.
  4. Their ninth inning at bats are like their 1st or 2nd inning at bats. No sense of urgency, or intensity just to make contact.
  5. A 22 bounce single up the middle and solano doesn't score? Not very smart baseball. These are the things that kill us.
  6. You know how difficult it is, with all the batting practice and live pitching you face to strike out, so easily? If Gallo, Buxton, Kepler and a few others just windmilled their bats when the pitch is thrown, they'd have a better chance of making contact, then they have with their current action.

  8. I think Kiriloff is a good enough hitter to be in the lineup on a regular basis, whether the opposing starter is right or left handed. If he doesn't start getting more at bats against left handers, you're molding him into a platoon player. And that's not fair to him or the team.
  9. Rocco is unique in a variety of things. Replacing him wouldn't guarantee anything or anyone better. But, it's a possibility that it could. A lot of his moves or non-moves are questionable, and he hasn't proven that his way is better. But there are enough fundamental questions cpncerning his decisions that cause one to ponder.
  10. We're talking about Jorge Lopez, the RP, not Pablo, the starter, right?
  11. Available in most stores where tiger merchandise is sold.
  12. Per Jim Kaat, who was on a recent broadcast, "It's not the pitcher's fault, it's how they are trained now" (sic).
  13. As in, " I am very pleased to have a 4 hit day today" in French. That would suffice.
  14. Yes, today. But how about over the next 3 months? And on a much more consistent basis. Are you counting on playing at .500 and then winning the last couple of games of the season to win the division title? Cleveland and Chicago have yet to play to their potential. If they do, we might need a cushion.
  15. I don't know how you talk about the Twins and not make it sound like Baldelli is severely lacking in leading this team.
  16. Pitch clock or 2 terrible offenses who don't have long innings, scoring runs?
  17. How many of you are heading out after the game to get your propane tanks filled?
  18. Yesterday? There was no game yesterday, just a public flogging.
  19. The Red Baron has taken over in right field, Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!
