  1. Come on, you have to admit that Shoemaker was a good signing. Without Shoe, I would have spent a considerable amount of time away from my family. "Honey, are you going to be home early tonite? "Yes, dear, Shoemaker is pitching tonite"
  2. Only when in the dugout, trying to keep his pitching hand warm.
  3. Kind of sad, when a baseball fan's greatest highlight of a Twins' broadcast is when Audra Martin gives us the injury updates.
  4. If Sano wants to help the team offensively, his best strategy tonight is curse the ump and get tossed. Whoever replaces him, has to be a major upgrade. This is beyond ridiculous.
  5. My new nickname for Larnach is 'OT", as in overthrow.
  6. My little nephew asked me what ' hurl ' meant. I told him most pitchers throw, but Twins pitchers hurl the ball in respect to the outcome.
  7. Perhaps he should hurl a few innings for the Twins.
  8. Happ is some team's comeback project, not a project for a team trying to build a strong building base. All he is doing is sucking time for those who need the work.
  9. How much does the grading change if the Twins re-sign Cruz during the off season? That's a distinct possibility. That not happening is just as far fetched or probable as any other scenario.
  10. Hopefully, we'll see Cruz in 2022. Who knows, we may resign him. Seriously doubt it, though.
  11. "Sustained Excellence" requires excellent evaluation and some luck.
  12. Looks like Yogi Bear, playing first.
  13. Kirilloff won't play again, this season
  14. Nice clutch hitting. I guess if we don't get a homerun, we have to rely on a passed ball or wild pitch to score.
  15. I thought Morneau would be the answer in the booth. But like everything else this year, he's getting to be a boring pain in the rear. Kaat spoiled me a little bit, but it was a small sample size.
  16. I can't respond. I never saw other than few at bats in the minors, nor have I seen a pitching log against him, while in the minors.
  17. So Sano gets signed. Rises through the ranks. Has some success runs in the MLB, and all of a sudden, for no reason, he can't the pitches/pitchers that got him to the Show.
  18. Looking at the Twins dugout is like looking at a company's multiple vice presidents. A bunch of overpaid people dooing nothing.
  19. But when the curve is coming in low and towards the outer portion of the plate (still in strike zone) the spin should tell him it will break even more.
  20. Sano needs a complete physical with a head CT scan. I'm not putting him down, but there has to be a possibility of something physical wrong with his vision, perception or his mental processing of images.
  21. Donaldson gets more cookies when the bases are empty. Better to give up a solo shot and be done with it, if you want to take the chance, especially in a close game.
