  1. His story about how he got casted is 💯 true. He drove by, saw something goin on and decided to give it a go. the amount of actual MLB players was staggering, Johnson, Griffey (who I was scared shitless pitching to), Ivan Rodriguez, Dean Palmer and I'm sure I'm forgetting a bunch. Leon Durham was a really cool guy, and twins players including Kirby were around all the time. filmed for about 60 days, mainly at the dome but also Fenway and Comiskey (or whatever it's called now). A very surreal experience for the local non-famous guys. Everything from food to hotels, chartered planes was 1st class. The wrap party at Mississippi Live was epic. https://www.borizsportsjersey.com/baseball-4/bill-wedman-13-minnesota-home-pinstriped-baseball-jersey-little-big-league-2
  2. ..... in every business. But the lost media/TV revenue for the Twins is very hard to make up for. Baseball absolutely needs to have salary rules, like every other sport mostly has. My guess is a prolonged strike/shutdown after 2026 season
  3. I don't disagree with anything you are saying regarding fundamentals. It's hard to watch. And I think in any walk of life an organization takes on the personality of its leader. Sometimes the laid back approach -such as Phil Jackson or Joe Torre- works, but only when you have an alpha on the team that demands perfection from others. Byron is kinda that, Carlos should be that... but neither really seem to be that "jump on my shoulders" guy. So that's where a manager like Rocco doesn't work. but getting back on topic, I believe you have to trust falvey, or can him. The twins have very important assets right now, and whether they stay or go it is a crucial moment. Regarding trades, I do believe each of their values diminish every single day we have team control. And... never called you a traitor, I simply found the bandwagon post funny. I get the frustration.
  4. This is probably true. But I wouldn't mess around with Keaschall. The best players thrive on routine. Bring up Martin in Castro's spot and find a place -1 place- where Keaschall is your every day starter. If that means putting Larnach or Wallner on the bench, so be it. Just my opinion.
  5. This response is so classic. Call someone smug and then attempt to use really deep language to make yourself sound, well, smug. Yes, we've heard those words and know what they mean. Just silly, but gave me a good chuckle! i thought the original post about bandwagon jumping was spot on and hilarious. You are a fan or you are not. It doesn't mean you have to agree with or support all decisions (emotionally or financially) but it means you have passion for the team - and don't suddenly switch fandom to that teams biggest rival (yet still follow and comment on this site?). Now let's go sell if the deal is right. The value of Duran, Ryan and Jax goes down every single day from here on out.
  6. I can tell you 1st hand Tony is a great guy. Super down to earth. Not all the actors and pro athletes were like that. (But most) And his descriptions, especially those of traveling to other cities is spot on. Really fun times.
  7. 100% agree. I'd bet some team thinks they can find something in Wallner and value that more. Neither would return much, but I'd move on Wallner before Larnach.
  8. That the entire article I read was baseless. Comparing sending both guys in 1 deal for 2 top 100 prospects. Why in the world would we send 2 sure fire MLB studs with team control for 2 prospects. I, and most, read the articles, not diving into links. Not sure why this is such a hot button for you. OP made a mistake, he/she even compared to another 2 reliever trade. - mistakes happen. on the Duran or griffin alone aspect, it would have been a great article.
  9. I'm not dying on this vine but the article says "the Minnesota Twins are open to trading both Jhoan Duran and Griffin Jax, two of the most electric relievers in baseball, as a package deal. The asking price? Two top-100-caliber prospects." not a huge deal, but it completely changes the direction of the entire article. As I was reading the proposals, I'm saying heck no to every one of the proposals for a 'package' of both Duran and Jax. Not even close. For one of them it's a great article and worth re-reading. and yes, I did go back and click the Passan link, but given the article is quoting him that shouldn't be required. It's all good, I do like and appreciate these articles, and it was a simple mistake. I'm hoping we sell, sell, sell
  10. Somewhat agree. Go all in or all out. If Falvey believes we're 1 or 2 bats away from being a World Series Champ, keep Ryan, Duran, Jax and add 2 field players. (Ownership may not approve). If he doesn't believe that, or ownership won't spend to replace a Larnach, Wallner, etc then sell on all 3 arms, bottom out, and re-tool. Being in the middle is just a waste of everyone's time...
  11. I too would hang up immediately. A bit unintentionally misleading though as Wiggins' K/IP as stated in the article is incorrect. I think 48k in 36 IP in Knoxville having said that, just 'no'

  13. Where on the team should a corner outfielder be regarding OPS, no speed and bad defense? Are you truly making an argument ME is mashing? If so, that is what's Bizarre. I agree, he crushes in St Paul, where he should be. He has immensely let this team down this year. Biggest disappointment and it's not close.
  14. So sabato is a year younger than Wallner, but MW deserves a shot at 1st now, because we need his bat / or because he's from Forest Lake? He has been a complete failure. Started the year in the one slot and he has been awful. It's not the long term solution but give Clemens every single at- bat over Wallner. France as well. MW needs to work it out in St Paul, or for another organization. If this season turns bad it's on MW and lesser CC. Hopefully Keashell can provide spark. I know Wallner is doing his best, but he's not a MLB contributor
  15. But why not take top end arms in the draft versus having to trade for them I the long run? I like the guys you mentioned but 'I' don't believe any of the three will mentioned is better than a 4/5, and devoid of injury never will start a playoff game,
  16. This is a great take. For years I think Falvey and the staff felt the were great at getting diamonds in the rough regarding 3-4 yr college pitchers with average stuff, and turning them into something. It doesn't seem that strategy has worked other than to deliver solid AAA arms (sans Ober, Jax). Top teams need high end starters not 4/5's. I guess Last year Soto, there's been Prielipp, leech, Enlow. Hopefully they got it right. But I do like the attempt.
  17. Barr is by far my favorite pick (at slot) in the entire draft. There should not be sign ability issues. I guess hiccups getting into Tennessee the last few weeks. Electric stuff. If Vitello wants him, I want him. Love this draft!
  18. He will. On paper I love this draft. Solid high floor in round #1. Little more risk but great projectability in the comp. And shoot for the moon in 2&3. Great strategy.
  19. From what I saw he played outfield this year, due to injury. But most think that's where he sticks
