  1. Cholowsky still scares me. I'm probably incredibly far off. For me it's Emerson or Lombard before him. But it's a crapshoot
  2. How can Debarge be this bad? I totally understand guys like Winokour and Young the are just out of high school and growing into their bodies. Scouting isn't perfect but would think a 5'9 second baseman kinda 'is what he is' But even his strikeouts and CS are terrible. Seems like a rather large miss at 33 overall? Has anyone actually seen him?
  3. Yes but are they as positive and complimentary as baseball fans?
  4. Negativity sells, and in a game like baseball which is built on unfavorable outcomes, it's easy. He's trying to make a living so I get it. and I agree, Bonnes I fabulous.
  5. At first blush The article is not great. But masterfully, Sam got the responses he intended, so maybe actually it is. :) great dialogue, good writing! there is something a bit odd going on with this club, and it's fun to see it play out.
  6. Do not disagree.....but In a super odd way.... I actually could see trusting Ober if we have a one or done game at the end of this season. He may throw 85 but does seem to have something in him
  7. Thanks for this article. I'll admit as an old guy the advanced metrics get lost on me most times. But I'm trying :) I just see and uber-talented lefty with a knockout slider, a real ball player, and I could watch it all day long
  8. Be super careful with the Varland language, or you may be banished. He's one of us.
  9. I truly appreciate the article and the site. But when do we reach a point when statistics pale in comparison to what we, but more importantly, coaches and front office folks see clearly with our eyes? see ball, hit ball, catch ball, run hard, throw hard, paint corners. We don't need advanced stats for that
  10. But we got Fedko in the 12th so let's call it even
  11. I'm a sucker for prospects so I did enjoy watching Rojas last night
  12. Watching Ohtani is kinda cool. Makes me wonder why we didn't give Gallo and Wallner the same oppty to play both ways
  13. I'm no labor attorney but maybe not the best advice to strike on your best tip potential night of the year?
