  1. Everyday Pressly up and at 'em... unbelievable.
  2. Alright, Slegers, get one more inning and then head back to the hotel to pack your bags and head back to Rochacha, NY. Got to meet him last week. Seemed like a stand-up guy with a nice sense of humor. Dude is SUPER tall... may have picked the wrong sport, lol.
  3. Hitting .192? .640 OPS? 29 RBI? Mediocre defense? Dude needs to go; trade or release him, does not matter at this point. I think it's more of the fact of how he changed his number to 99 and how he handled interviews before actually playing a game. Don't change your number to imitate the best power hitter in the league and hit .192 with nine home runs. Honestly, this is the first inning of baseball I've watched in almost two weeks. This team just isn't very fun to watch. I regret getting my MLB.tv subscription so early and not getting the MiLB.tv instead; probably going to do that next year.
  4. I still don't understand why Fernando was sent down. He's a rookie and is going to make mistakes; let the kids play. It's not only Belise, but Magill, the fact that Taylor Motter was claimed, Fernando Rodney is still the closer, Pressly gets used every other game, Reed is still used in high leverage situations while getting shelled, Wilson keeps playing, Morrison is still on the team... There's a whole lot of problems...
  5. If Jake Cave were still a Yankee, he'd probably be an all-star...
  6. Slegers getting sent back to Rochester after the game? That's been the theme right? There's gotta be a 35 year old retread that the FO signed that they need to get "value" out of or show that they made a good signing, right?
  7. I wonder if it's because the coaches aren't very good...
  8. This is a very strange move. If no one claimed him, why release him? Do we really have that much starting pitching depth throughout the minors?
  9. Why do people think we don't have the chips to pull of a trade for one of these guys? From what I have read our farm system is a consensus top 7 or 8 system. Is this incorrect information? I understand we don't have top tier MLB ready talent, but talent is talent and I'm sure the Twins have some players the Mets would be interested in. Maybe they can return a favor for the Santana deal that definitely sucked for the Twins, lol...
  10. What if he donated like 95% of his earnings to organizations that help people who were sexually assaulted? Would this make a difference? Change the 95% to what is equivalent to making a livable wage. What is the MLB code of conduct regarding sex offenders? Do MLB players need to be fingerprinted? IF he truly didn't do it, why would he apologize? The mother is obviously going to believe his daughter, where are his parents? Every article I have read, I haven't seen anything from his parents. Correct me if I'm wrong, but he is no longer on the sex offender registry. He satisfied all of his legal court requirements. He has done all that other felons have done and been released from prison. Maybe he doesn't deserve to work for Major League Baseball, but at the end of the day, Donald Trump doesn't deserve to be president; and while not guilty of sexual assault, it is clearly known he is a sex offender. Also, to all of you saying he "raped" his niece, no one actually knows what the assault was; no article states what happened.
  11. I highly doubt Kohl Stewart will be in a bullpen in the majors. He just isn't that good; probably should have stuck with football.
  12. He is also an avid video gamer. He is incredible at Fortnite. I could be wrong, but I believe he is a major contributor to the ESports. Seriously though, he is awesome at Fortnite.
  13. Escobar needs to stay. He is a solid ML player. He may not hit this way next year, but overall he's been a solid player and nothing short of an all-star in the clubhouse and off the field. Unless you are getting a pitcher who slots into the rotation right now (which Eddie the Stick is probably not going to) or a third baseman that can play right now (again, probably not happening) I think you need to keep him. Offer him an QO and if he doesn't accept, then you can still continue to negotiate with his agent and if some other team signs him, you get a draft pick. Even if he accepts, while the one year deal would be a high salary, the Twins have plenty of money to spend.
  14. After taking a second look at Rooker's year (its been a couple weeks), he is having quite a fine year.
  15. These picks, like Rooker, last year are interesting. Will they have the ability to adjust to the wooden bat and better pitchers? Rooker crushed last year and has had a so-so year at AA this year. I would expect the same from Larnach this year (If he ever gets to the minors, lol).
  16. Rosario is a beast. I heard/read a quote that he was considered the best hitter in PR when he was signed. If he is not an all-star there is something seriously wrong with the process. Dude is a top 10 stat leader in majority of offensive categories in the AL. Escobar should be on the all-star team as well, but that's another conversation.
  17. Lavine/Falvey should be on the phone with the Mets right now starting a package with Lewis to land Syndergaard. Dude is a stud and well worth Royce Lewis.
  18. Excited to seem him play. At the Red Wings game I went to on Monday he looked solid in the field and with the bat. He seemed to have a decent approach for trying to get on base and make the pitcher work. He fouled off a bunch of tough pitches and out the ball in play three out of four times. Made all the plays in the field as well. Didn't really have anything tough to make, but still important to make the easy plays. Very excited to see what he does at the majors. I imagine it will be a minute before he is a stud, but he has the tools, talent, and work ethic to make it there. Good read, Seth and good luck, Nick!
  19. Night all. How I Met Your Mother is much more entertaining than this.
  20. Love Morneau, maybe my favorite player, but man... don't make an excuse that it is late for why the boys aren't hitting...
  21. Maybe the boys need a change in uniforms?? Bring back the caolina blue!
  22. I hear you on the two year thing, but the relentless need, it feels like, to give minor league signings a shot over guys who have been in the organization, questionable roster moves (Romero being sent down, keeping Grossman, etc) it just seems like these guys don't really have a plan. It definitely is fair to give the guys a shot with the prospects, I just don't know if Twins fans can put up with another couple years of disappointment.
