  1. Meyer, Oliveros, Achter. There were unused options.
  2. Buxton has less than 40 MLB PAs. We don't know much of anything about him at this point.
  3. Uh... The better team usually scores first. That's a poor metric from which to base a team.
  4. That's why I wanted to see the team more aggressively audition arms in May and June. Meh.
  5. It's *really* easy to add a podcast to iTunes. If you need help, don't hesitate to reach out.
  6. I love the throwback jerseys. I've always been meh on the regular jerseys but at least they got rid of the horrible grey pinstriped road jerseys several years ago.
  7. You people are really letting me down this morning. Rusty Kuntz.
  8. I'm fine with the entirety of the South.
  9. Can we go back to 1947 and give the Jews Mississippi?
  10. PM me your request an I'll take care of it. I had to remove the ability to change display names for one reason or another. Can't remember the details but it screwed up something on the board.
  11. I don't care if Joe hits .300 for the season. If he hits .300 for the second half of the season and posts an OPS around .800, that's a good indication the old Joe Mauer is back going into 2016. And that's far more important to the long term than .300 in 2015.
  12. To be fair, most everybody needs to spend more time talking about Mike Trout. The guy is off the charts good. I've never seen a ball player like him and his closest comp is probably Willie Mays or Mickey Mantle. There isn't a single flaw in his game and he's very good or great at EVERYTHING. It's kinda insane. Here's a fun fact about Trout. If he keeps up his current pace, he'll be a career 70 WAR player the year he turns 27 years old. *shakes head*
  13. I could get behind most, if not all, of this... I'd prefer to see the setup man come from within, though.
  14. In 2015, yes. Still too many holes on this team to give up talent that may help in future seasons. If the Twins had a second front line starter to follow Gibson, I'd be a lot more confident about their chances. I'm fine with shoring up the biggest hole(s) on the cheap but this isn't the right year to go for it.
  15. It's going to be very difficult to win the division. The Twins only face the Royals six more teams this season (road and home series). The best chance of the Twins winning the division banks on the Royals suffering from the loss of Alex Gordon. I don't see them chasing and passing KC at full strength.
  16. This... doesn't make sense.
  17. Moving Mauer down the lineup is a mistake, especially now that he's stopped hitting for average. You want that guy further up the lineup, not down.
  18. While I agree with your general premise that groundball pitchers are a dangerous lot, Halladay was very good until his age 35 season. Masterson, not so much. Who knows how long Webb would have been effective if not for the shoulder. He was incredible through his age 29 season and then got hurt.
  19. I actually think he's spot-on with his two sentences about the Twins. He doesn't discount them as a contender, just states they might become a very strange sort of contender. The kind that shouldn't be winning on paper but wins on the field none-the-less.
  20. It was more of a general statement, Bark. I like Rosario's overall ability quite a bit but Oswaldo's bat is on a different level. Much of this board seems to have forgotten that.
  21. While Rosario is more of a multi dimensional player, let's not kid ourselves here. Arcia's hit tool is superior and it's not particularly close. There isn't anything Rosario does at the plate that Arcia can't do better.
  22. 4-5 is a success. Anything better than that is a big success. Six road games against the A's and Angels is brutal.
  23. My understanding is that you don't have to set a playoff roster in September but you can only use players who were on the 40 man in September.
  24. What about six years, $30-35m? That'd be really tough to turn down if I was the GM. I seriously doubt Gibson would even consider doing that, but it's a fun thought.
