  1. I wondered the same thing.
  2. Win 46. Game #: 2015: 85 2014: 100 2013: 106 2012: 106 2011: 97 Last three seasons are now at 100 games or higher. In 2011, win 47 came at game 100.
  3. Arcia/Hunter/Young outfield. Love it.
  4. I was the guy screaming to put in Tonkin.
  5. The Twins need a sign for "twist your ankle walking back to the mound" to slow down the game so the bullpen can get going.
  6. Oh, good. Now Perkins can pitch the ninth. *eye roll*
  7. It's one thing if a guy struggles for 6-8 weeks like Santana did earlier in the season. It's something else entirely if the guy is "struggling" for all of two weeks, as Rosario has since late June.
  8. Nice. The Orioles bullpen is not awesome this afternoon.
  9. I'd give up a lot for Lucroy if he was healthy and hitting, just not Berrios.
  10. Nice plate appearance by Hicks there.
  11. Come on, Miguel. You may be quick for a big guy but you're still a big guy.
  12. Hah! That was actually a jab at the Rosario thread in this forum...
  13. Good thing Arcia was out there in left for that.
  14. It seems like that Mauer guy is back.
  15. I'm still on the fence whether Dozier is an All-Star.
  16. Well, the pitch was a strike either way. It looked dead red in the center of the plate and then skimmed the bottom of the strike zone. Swinging was the right decision.
  17. Need to let the kids struggle and work through it at the MLB level. Rosario hasn't been horrible, just bad.
  18. The pitch was filthy. Bottom dropped out at the plate.
  19. Jimenez keeps making pitches when he needs to make pitches. That 3-0 pitch to Rosario was unhittable.
  20. I haven't looked at Plouffe's spray chart but it seems like he has more oppo power this season.
  21. Yep. I probably wouldn't do it even if Lucroy was posting a 110 OPS+. With the scuffles of Meyer, Berrios becomes a critical piece.
  22. Greatly enhance their playoff chances? No, I don't think that's the right move in 2015. But moving Pelfrey for a bullpen piece or trading a #15-20 prospect for an adequate backup catcher might provide 1-2 more wins and keep the Twins in contention. Given how stacked the Twins farm system is right now, that's not a huge loss and the experience Buxton, Gibson, Sano, Rosario, May, et al will gain by participating in a stretch run (and possible playoff berth) is worth that meager cost. Make a small move and try to stay in contention but don't give up valuable assets that hurt the team's chances in 2016 and beyond.
