Eduardo Escobar just took over in center. I can't tell who's in left. It might be Herrmann. It's definitely not Parms. Too skinny...and right handed. Bartlett is at 3rd I believe.

Thoughts:

Dozier looked pretty good

Pinto...tough day making good contact

Arcia...same as Pinto, but from L side

Colabello was ok. Still has holes, but better looking than last year

Parmelee still likes to swing at down and in, still can't hit it

Plouffe has no idea what a "get me over curve" looks like and that he should crush it

Hicks still looks like a kid out there. Tying too hard.

Florimon's two hits were just under the glove of SS and 1B.

It didn't look like there was much fight out there. Pretty depressing to watch. The Phil's were having fun all over and smiling. No Twin smiled this day.

I'd say that outside of a couple PAs, Arcia has looked completely brutal at the plate (and in the field) this spring. One of the bigger disappointments IMO.

I thought I was the only one that was noticing. This might be an overlooked development in the upcoming roster decision crunch. I can see that some might have overlooked his butchery in the OF, as that was to be expected. But after today's results with the Phils, Arcia has now struck out 14 times in 42 PAs, a 33% K rate, against an average hurler/PA of only slightly above AAA level.

A week before the real games begin and I still haven't renewed my MLB tv subscription. Somebody give me a reason to renew*.

*=answers need not be serious.

The only one I can think of is forgetting to cancel the auto-renew. (Worked for me.) It's a bit late for that one now.

Will "The Twins are still tied for first" help?

I was left wondering if that double that went just over his head would've been caught if anyone else was out there. Granted it was hit pretty hard, but it just ate him up. People have been very optimistic about him, but I don't think he's ready. I don't think Kubel is going to cut it either. He's looked better at making contact than Arcia though, not that it's helped. Parmelee is probably the best defensively :banghead: but his bat looks the same as the two others. Honestly, all three guys have the same build, similar arms, same inability to hit right now. Who plays RF? Talk about no one laying claim to a position.
