I like the one scout's comment that Buxton's floor is Torii Hunter. Think about how insane that is.

That's crazy to think about, but I remember asking Dave Cameron in a chat if Sano's floor was Pedro Alvarez, and he quickly dismissed it, saying every prospect's floor is replacement level or below. As Nick said, there's no such thing as a sure prospect.

 

But it seems as though Buxton is about as close as one gets.

Just noticed that BA ranks Buxton #1 and Tanaka #5.

 

Got me wondering: if MLB declared Buxton a free agent today (say, it was discovered that Terry Ryan tendered his contract late in 2012 ), what kind of contract could he get?
