If the Twins are serous they need to trade for Both Matt Wisler and Burch Smith,

Both were said to be avalible , whats your take on these 2 compared to Meyer?

 

Nowhere near the potential as Meyer, but they're good prospects clearly.

Without digging too much, I'd likely have Smith in the 6-8 range and Wisler in the 9-12 range.

Thank you , For me 2014 is probally more about getting into 70s win range, and I would love to head into 2015 Knowing we had Meyer, May, Smith ,Wisler and Gibson all pushing for spots in the Rotation.2 of them capible of being #1 type pitchers and the rest slotted for #2-3 range

Arizona is looking to get pitching and they have 2 SS so one could be available. Do you think the Twins could trade Gibson or any of the out of option pitchers and / or other minor leaguers for one of them.

A simple question: are Gregorious and/or Owens any better than Santana or Polanco? If they are try to acquire them, if not, forget about trading anyone for either one of them.

I would prefer Owings to Santana for sure. I really like Polanco, but don't seen him as a shortstop (mostly because the Twins preferred Goodrum to Polanco at SS).

 

The D-backs are rumored to be looking for a front-end pitcher, so I can't see how they would match up. Maybe if Tanaka, Garza, Santana, Jimenez all sign elsewhere, and the Twins add another starter or two, they could make Gibson available. Though not high-end, he does over some mid-rotation potential. I probably wouldn't make that straight-up trade if I was the Diamondbacks, and, as a Twins fans, I'm not sure I want to give up Gibson yet either.

 

The addition of Owings could allow the Twins to shop guys like Santana and Florimon though, knowing that they have second covered and have Escobar in a utility role. Plus, the Dbacks have Hill, Gregarious and Pennington covering those spots, so Owings could be used as trade bait.
