It was his job to do what he thought was the smart thing to do!

The head f an operation does have to project confidence in their decision making.  There using of smartest guy in the room as a cutting comment is nothing but an emotional argument.  The judging of what baseball players can be is mostly a crapshoot. The misses on the multitude of prospect analysis sites is large. The finding of diamonds in the trades is a rare occurance.
