Ncgo4 Verified Member Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 Is Stewart scheduled to pitch today? Also, the first 3 outings he was in for 3 innings. Is this an inning count or a pitch count thing or some combination? He long before these limits are raised?

Is this an inning count or a pitch count thing or some combination? He long before these limits are raised? Generally the rookie league guys don't pitch that many innings... Part of that I'm sure is that many of these kids already played a full season so they are getting their arms stretched back out... Part is that they've likely pitched more already this year than ever before...
PseudoSABR Verified Member Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 Wimmers went three and third innings, struck out four with no walks and one run allowed (five hits though).
Boone Provisional Member Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 Kohl Stewart's line for today: 2 IP 2H 1ER (3R) 2K 0BB 4GB outs:0 FB outs Stewart got very unlucky in his 1st inning, as the first 3 runners reached on 2 errors and C interference. He then got the next 3 batters to ground out. Pretty impressive composure for such a young player.
Pjanson Provisional Member Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 Wimmers has been at the back of my mind. He would be a real wildcard if he can come back. I am the eternal optimist/homer.
launchingthrees Verified Member Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 Has there been reviews oh Stewart's fastball? What # is he working at?
PseudoSABR Verified Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Rosario didn't play in either game today. Hmm. Walker with another homer, Sano too. Berrios and Duffy with nice nights. Baxendale did pretty well as well.
cmb0252 Provisional Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Everyone but Buxton seems to be having a good day.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Holy crap Tyler Duffey... Struck out 10. Lewis Thorpe continues to rack up the Ks and limit the walks, but couldn't get out of the big inning. Only 4 hits in 4 innings, but it looks like they call came in the same inning as he gave up 3 ER (0BB 6K).
Ncgo4 Verified Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Buxton has finally hit the first full season slump. The last ten games he's hitting about .145, or so. Be ey to see how handles it. I, for ne, wonder why he seems to hav never attempted to bunt his way on base.
Billy Amick Wichita Wind Surge - AA 1B/3B Despite hitting just .194, the 23-year-old ranks fourth in the Texas League in Home Runs (17) and sixth in RBI (50). Explore Billy Amick News >
