I fail to see the controversy with ABS calling a pitch that just nicks the strike zone a strike.  The foul pole comparison is perfect.  A ball just needs to graze the pole to be fair.  For years all I've heard from players regarding the strike zone is they want consistency.  That's what ABS brings. If anything, it just shows how tough it is for a human to accurately call balls & strikes.   I feel it's just a matter of time before ABS is used to call balls & strikes.

I absolutely love the current challenge system... I will love it even more when ABS is the system... every single pitch in the regular season and every single pitch in the playoffs.

Starting slow with it is alright. It has an element of strategy to it. Deciding when to challenge and not challenge in regards to leverage is strategy and a welcome addition.

For anyone paying attention and thinking a step further with it. I believe... my opinion of course... that it  absolutely absolves umpires from almost all past derision from fans. The ABS clearly shows how incredibly hard it is to call balls and strikes with the human eye and brain. Umpires deserve our respect because the accuracy they display is incredible.

Kudo's to MLB for testing it while I was impatient for it and Kudo's for the current implementation. Love it.

The computer strike zone is as real as an AI boyfriend.
