Dave Borton Verified Member Posted November 7, 2025 Posted November 7, 2025 The WS game 7 had an audience of 51MM, with 12 million alone in Japan. Baseball has played the cards <sic> correctly with extracting the best players from Japan. I see greater penetration into Japan in the future. Might the Twins capitalize on any of this? Have to do workarounds on the posting fees, I realize (age/service). Anyone follow Japanese ball? Have insights? How about Tokyo Marlins and Yokohama Rays. Korean/Mexican ball. No separate figures I could find but this years series has to have a positive, longer term effect on the game's popularity. Growth will come, long after I am pushing up daisies. TopGunn#22 1
Linus Verified Member Posted November 8, 2025 Posted November 8, 2025 To me a bigger question is what are the Twins doing in the Latin market? They have been abysmal in this critical area of talent acquisition. Dave Borton, Doctor Wu and Rigby 3

Barinas came into ball through the back door with the Dodgers and has done every staff position in ball except playing ball. Time will tell. Doctor Wu and Linus 2
Doctor Wu Verified Member Posted November 10, 2025 Posted November 10, 2025 Japan and the Latin American countries are certainly fertile ground for finding prospects. I hope that the Twins actually and actively explore those territories. Dave Borton 1
