Chris Hove Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 15, 2025 Posted May 15, 2025 No France or Bader in the lineup. Sugano has been pretty good this year, despite low K numbers. What does everyone think?

Chris Hove Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 15, 2025 Posted May 15, 2025 I think they are going to need to call up a new starting pitcher later this week. Most likely, Festa, they optioned SWR and kept Funderburk, which makes sense since the Twins can wait until that spot comes up in the rotation.

AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted May 15, 2025 Posted May 15, 2025 Over the years, Ive come to expect the Twins to sweep the Orioles in Baltimore, but last year seemed to indicate a change of fortune. Yesterday my youngest son and I made an impromptu trip up 95 to see game two after he finished school. We got to our seats in time to see a walk, a grand slam and a homer and the 4-0 lead evaporate. Last year continued, right? But no, Kody Clemens helped restore order. We thought his go ahead homer was 95mph, 340feet, and 40 degree angle. We were surprised at the actual numbers (104/362/38). Also, that catch by Castro in the 8th was spectacular. Thank god they moved the fences back in left a few years ago! Jocko87, Chris Hove, Twins_Fan_in_NJ and 1 other 4
shortround81 Verified Member Posted May 15, 2025 Posted May 15, 2025 Hear me out. Whenever sons of former MLB players face each other, they (sons) have to race foul pole to foul pole. The losing son's dad has to have one season's stats erased from the record books. It would make for some interesting HoF voting

But…fun idea! Also, on this topic, I think the sons of former major leaguers generally get a leg up on their peers because of their dads. shortround81 1

Twins_Fan_in_NJ Verified Member Posted May 15, 2025 Posted May 15, 2025 Sugano has a really bad whiff rate. Twins need to be patient and get a pitch to hit because he'll eventually give them one. Hopefully France's absence isn't a long-term thing. Worried about Bader, though. Those soft tissue injuries can become problematic. MMMordabito 1
