bighat Verified Member Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 Four teams in the AL Central sit at or above .500. That's more than the AL West and AL East combined. There is really no argument against this claim, it's a straight fact. Nobody wants to play the Guardians or Royals right now, and the Twins have been dangerous when streaking. Detroit is solid. Every other division must take a knee and bow before the almighty AL Central. Craig Arko and Dman 2
NCtwinsfan Verified Member Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 Looking at the standings this morning, I had a similar thought, 2 months in, the AL central is looking good. The current record of each division: AL East - 156-125 AL Central - 146-137 AL West - 127-158 NL East - 139-140 NL Central-136-141 NL West - 140-145 Currently only two divisions have winning records, AL East and Central. The AL East has a better record overall, so I would say there is an argument to be made that by record the East is the best division right now, but there’s more than one way to skin a cat. I would not have guessed the AL central to be this good, or this many teams with winning records either. bighat 1
