Is Buxton's contract insured?

I'm not sure if this has been asked before but I was curious if the Twins did take out an insurance policy on the contract.

I know it's just 15 million a year without bonuses or incentives. But that looks really hard to swallow when he can't play.

I’m guessing not. My understanding is that this type of insurance is really expensive and withs Buxtons history…….

Plus these policies only payout when the player no longer can play at all.
