Is the implication that Baldelli has decided that Maeda goes to pen and Ryan is #3?

I am oddly terrified to start Gray next week and it has nothing to do with him.

The way the offense sucks so bad in his starts for an entire season is mind boggling.

Its also not just some thing where hes got a low win total and is unlucky because we score once he leaves the game.

Gray has over 180 innings and the second best era in the AL.......we have lost more of his starts than weve won. Should almost be impossible to achieve.

Ryan is definitely starting game 3

Maeda is back up for whenever its needed next week(honestly hopefully never)

It's fine to be able to hit to all fields, but when that's your primary spray chart, you're likely not a very dangerous hitter.

Good point and I share your concern. While he is having a decent (half) year, he just hasn’t done much with middle-in pitches, especially the down and in pitches that are in most lefty’s “nitro zone”.

If the Twins could get Buxton at some portion of 100%, yeah great, but it just doesn’t seem likely.

I'm not overly concerned about the offense with Gray pitching in the playoffs.  The last 2 games he has had the "get-away" lineup behind him.  I wonder how many of his other 30 starts have been with as many starters as possible being rested.
