CRF Verified Member Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 I know Louie wants to be a starter, and he probably will be again...but he looks great as a reliever. He even seems more relaxed and comfortable coming out of the pen. He always seemed kind of jumpy, or nervous, to me when he started games. I think he's wrapped pretty tight anyway, but I don't see that as much when he pitches in relief. He's going to be a real asset for us either way, but I love him coming out of the pen.
RpR Verified Member Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Not a good time for Taylor to go into a slump.

Does Louis go "pbpbpbpbpbp" like a horse before throwing a pitch? From my experience, the best starter-turned-relievers do that.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 This would be a nice time to see if buxton has any thunder in his bat.

IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Welp. I guess we've got plans for Tuesday.
RpR Verified Member Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 NOT a good way to end home games.
CRF Verified Member Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 For some reason we tend to have clunkers on these getaway games. Doesn't matter who's in the lineup or who's pitching. Yeah, I know were setting things up for next week, but today was a winnable game and another chance for a sweep. Would've been nice if we did it. On to Colorado!
CRF Verified Member Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Just saw from Betsy Helfand, that C4 won't be activated for the Rox series and go to CO. He's staying back in the TC to do some sim games, and is still on target to play next week.
