So much for the value of a bench coach with manager experience. He didn't talk to Royce himself or send someone to talk to him after he gingerly returns to the dugout, during a meaningless game. It's literally his one job while Rocco is on leave. 

I did wonder if in all of the role changes, they forgot to "replace" Tingler's duties for the short term so that he could focus on other game management aspects. They sounded like they got caught unawares, and hopefully learned from it.
