Minnesota CF and Home Runs

Jayson Stark has an article on Home Runs right now:

Home runs and HR heroes of 2013 - ESPN

I found an interesting tidbit:

[h=3]The zero hero team[/h]

Most plate appearances this season without a homer:

Span's OPS: .668

Revere's OPS: .582

Hicks' OPS: .569

With the improvements (albeit slight) Hicks is showing, he may end up passing the other two up yet this year. The Twins are going through obvious growing pains with Hicks, but it's starting to become apparent why they traded Span and Revere.

They traded them b/c they have a surplus at the position and got reasonable value back for them. I'm quite fine with that. Span I suspect will improve. I've never been high on Revere.

Did Denard put on about 20 pounds over the winter?

Maybe the blue stripes hid a few curves all those years. He looks fatter as a Nat.

Agree on Revere. Span's numbers look similar to what he put up the two years prior to last. I'm just happy he was better last year and Ryan flipped him for a valuable piece.
