I recall posting in the Twins Daily comment section, just before opening day, that a reasonable case could be made for any of the five starters on the opening-day roster as the Twins' best starter. Now, aside from Ober taking Mahle's slot in the rotation, I feel like this has mostly played out that way. About 3/4 of the way through the season, Lopez, Gray, Ryan, Maeda and Ober have all had stretches where they were the most dominant pitcher on the team, and all have shown some significant weak point that makes it hard to declare them the clear-cut ace of the Twins. I'm not saying that all cases are equally valid, but you can make a reasonable case for any of them. Which do you think is best?

Pablo 100% should get the first playoff game.

Sonny has been great but his control and middle innings blow up in a hurry Id rather not have him setting the tone.

If Ryan groin is healthy and hes back to form, he can be really sneaky in October. His fastball heavy repetoire is easier to square up in the summer when the ball is flying.

In the April/Fall cool air it plays much better.
