mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 ? in heat like this could Pete Maki use a mound visit and bring Water for the Pitcher, ??
CRF Verified Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Yeah, I think Kenta is wilting a little bit out there. I can't even imagine being out there when it's around 120 on the field.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Alright Twins ive seen enough of the right fielder today

rwilfong86 Verified Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Embarrassing performance.... again.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Our BP stinks when they're healthy. Now we have a pitcher with a possible hand/finger injury and they're doing everything they can to keep him in the game. SMH.
CRF Verified Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Can we please get a few runs off this guy? Getting swept down in KC is embarrassing.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 This team is certainly doing their best to force Falvey’s hand to sell. I don’t know how you can possibly look at buying trades if we get swept by KC. Aggies7 1
annismark Verified Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 How's this...of the 9 batters playing today, Buxton has the 3rd highest OPS. Yuck, what a lineup. glunn 1

RickOShea Verified Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 I think Joaquin Phoenix is Wallner's double.

Cris E Verified Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Castro is a utility guy because he CAN make some great plays but he also makes some serious bonehead moves, and underlying this inconsistency his average performance is not that good. He may improve, he's better than Gordon, but right now he's not a starter on a good team. Schmoeman5, mrtwinsfan and glunn 3

The offense today is what I’ve seen more often that not over the first 90 games. Wouldn’t surprise me if we hear from Rosenthal and other National guys that The Twins are open for business after this game. glunn and ChermesZ 2
rwilfong86 Verified Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 That meltdown against Seattle was the start of the downward spiral for the 2023 Minnesota Twins. Parfigliano and glunn 2
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Just checking in... 7 innings from Yarbrough, just one run... I was told at the start of the year that we'd be fine against lefties, but here we are, another game against a middling lefty and we get dominated. If only we knew that we'd need RH hitting help in the offseason... oh wait, we did. Feels like Correa's hot streak is over, now he's back to being a sub .700 OPS hitter who is now the leadoff hitter. We had better hope he's a new hitting coach away from being back to himself again, or we are paying a lot of money to defense-first shortstop. Aggies7, glunn and Parfigliano 3
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Gotta love when a reliever with a 10.22 ERA mows down the top of our lineup with ease. Aggies7, PDX Twin, rwilfong86 and 3 others 4 2

I don't think they're going to sell for prospects, the front office is going to do what they can to win the division this year to prevent from being fired. I don't think they can afford to have a third straight losing season. That being said, they might opt to move a couple MLB players for other MLB players, like trading Gray or Maeda for RH hitting / moving an outfielder for a reliever. glunn and wsnydes 2
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Has a team ever been swept by another club with a winning percentage in the .270’s this late in the season? Lol glunn 1
