Fatbat Verified Member Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 Joe Ryan is making the case for Ace #1 and it seems that its lost in the shuffle. Yes he has gotten run support in his starts but a quick look at his stats says he doesn’t need a lot of support from the offense. I believe that this season will be special for him. What do you think about his strong start to the season?
Cornholio Verified Member Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 He seems to have reworked his secondary pitches, scrapping the slider for a sweeper and going with a new split-change. They look really good to go with his heavy fastball usage. I don’t understand why any pitcher would not do the driveline training. Mahle did it this winter also and he looks pretty sharp too.
