one_eyed_jack Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Nick and Alicia Blackburn couldn't help but note the irony when they found out they were going to have twins | twinsbaseball.com: News Regardless of what happens with Nick's career with the Minnesota Twins, I hope all works out for their own twins.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 I went from happy for them from just reading your note, to empathizing with their fears as I read the article. Hopefully medical science has this under control, but it sounds like it will be touch and go for some time yet.
snepp Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 As a father of twins..... ....he has my condolences. (in the good way, not the bad way)
one_eyed_jack Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Author Posted May 10, 2013 I didn't mean to mislead with the note there, sorry about that. It's tough stuff they're going through, it doesn't get any more stressful than that. Before reading this, I always thought of Nick Blackburn in connection with a Bobby Abreu line drive to the noggin, a gutty game 163 performance in Chicago, a dubious contract decision by the Twins, and some monumentally bad starts the past couple of years. But that's all insignificant compared to this. It sounds like this are headed in the right direction there, but they're not out of the woods yet.
