Mets signed Narvaez

Omar Narvaez signed a 1yr/ $8MM with the Mets, with a $7MM player's option

Yeah, I know big deal. but LH hitting Narvaez was my pick for the Twins to pick up for a catching floor and if they find an upgrade they can trade Jeffers. They landed Vazquez. But after missing out on Correa we have a lot of money to spent on FA. Why not pick up Narvaez? You may say we already have 2 MLB catchers. Mets have 4 MLB ready catchers, why did they sign him? Good question, IDK exactly. 

As you may guess I'm not high on Jeffers, which I won't go into. We have a few needs that very well can not be met in FA. We need a viable short term SS, a very good long term soon to be MLB ready catcher prospect, front line SP are our main needs. Trading Jeffers in addition with other MLB players on our team we can address those needs.

Not sure why he didn't get any attention - he made sense to me as someone to at least make an offer to.
