How about accordions?

Of course. I even have one of those, though I'm not very good at it!

I love both bagpipes and tubas!

And bassoons.

Also I remember seeing (hearing) bagpipes and didgeridoos at the Renaissance Festival.

My mother's side are Irish. A piper at funerals is a family custom. The haunting wail of a bagpipe is enough to make anyone cry... for whatever reason. Tubas... people start doing the polka. Not easy to do in a cemetery.

I really, really wanted one of my girls to take up the accordion. The one who could be good at it is a grad student in geology. She has been playing the ukulele.

Actually curious.

Would ballpark security let such noisemakers into the park?

If you can work up an arrangement of The National Anthem I'll bet you could see it performed before a game sometime.

I draw the line at the ukulele! The Portland Ukulele Society had it's "convention" in our building one year. Plinka, plinka, plinka for hours.

Can be beautiful. My father could be persuaded to play the saw on occasion. He didn't play an instrument, though his brother was a cellist in a major orchestra in his youth. All the kids on our family were musical, though only my eldest sister pursued music professionally (piano).

The three instruments I would be most interested to learn are banjo, accordion and bagpipes. This is the actual truth. That gives you an idea how a warped mind thinks.

Gotta share a bassoon story... My niece is quite the accomplished musician. Won several state high school awards with both the piano and the bassoon. The Army recruited her for the Army band. She signed up, went to basic training and one day her drill sergeant asked her why she'd enlisted (she's rather slight and not very athletic) since she couldn't handle PT. "I play the bassoon, sir," she replied.

The drill sergeant, for once at a loss, stared at her for a full minute before leaning in to ask in a quiet voice "What the f___ is a bassoon?"

My niece failed PT (injured her hip) was discharged, and now teaches high school music and can't help laughing every time she introduces a new student to a bassoon.

Didn't want to jinx anything but I have two whole chickens to throw on my new Traeger smoker tomorrow.

Fingers crossed.?

I really enjoy a well played French horn.

Twins win!!!

Badly needed offensive breakthrough, and taking the series against the Sox is always great. Buxton and Arraez are great, the ABs were the best we've seen this year, and Bundy was fantastic once again. Twins got to the bullpen in what should be a short start for Giolito tomorrow.

Until tomorrow,

ENJOY YOUR CHICKEN!

Delicatessen ends with a Cello Saw duet played from the roof.
