No doubt he is doing his best. And that, from a team standpoint, is a bit of a problem. Detroit, who take so many of our cast offs (and now have a better team with them than we do) already realized he was doing his best and this is what you get and have. Nothing against Burrows personally. I hope he does what is his best..... which can be seen with the Tigers and the Twins now..... for a different team.

To be fair, Burrows had thrown 64 pitches and gotten six outs, compared to Garcia's 32 and 7...

Did you notice that after Garcia pitched so well, Barnes came in and with the help of Cave - well, it is all on Cave really, but it got scored as a double! - 

and the inherited runner scores and is charged to Garcia, who pitched so well. Classic 2021 Twins.

By no means surprised that Beau "Duke" Burrows got rocked tonight.  He's absolutely HORRIBLE!  Understand that a "bullpen game" may have been needed after using so many pitchers in Houston and not having an open date, but Burrows---with his 11+ ERA gets picked to start?  Really?  No reason for him to EVER pitch in another game for this organization.  Not at Saint Paul.  Not at Wichita.  Not at Cedar Rapids.  Not at Ft. Myers. Just DFA this worthless player and promote an arm that is deserving-------Hamilton, Moran and Cano are all, imo, worthy of taking his slot.  Falvey/front office needs to DFA him tonight.
