Lowest slot value for 10th round is $142,200. Bottom of the 6th slot is still $250,000 and it's pretty typical to see guys signing at slot, even in those later rounds. That's a lot of money to shoot down for a high school kid, especially considering there's no guarantee they don't get hurt or fall off during college... or that they even want to attend college, haha.

I agree with the sentiment that things are just a crap shoot in the MLB draft, especially after the 3rd round. I'm happy enough with the Twins selections since I don't know enough to question them.
