Joe Posnanski writes that the Oakland A's internal "WAR" calculator rated Cabrera slightly ahead of Trout. fWAR and bWAR had Trout plowing Cabrera out of the water.

In light of the A's success relative to payroll, I suspect that maybe they have some secret formula that is giving them an edge.
