John Bonnes Site Manager Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Hicks is on pace to be next in a fine Twins center field line | StarTribune.com It could hardly be more obvious, then, that General Manager Terry Ryan wants Hicks, who turned 23 this offseason, to seize the job this spring. Only one problem: He never has spent a day in Triple-A, and the Twins are notoriously cautious with their prospects.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 I will be shocked if he starts with the club opening day but maybe he will. I'm excited to finally watch him play. I'll be a tish sad for Mastro but excited for Hicks. Aaron must be like a greyhound at the gate right now waiting for spring training.
70charger Verified Member Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 I would like nothing more than for him to be ready to blow us all away from day one as well. I don't find that to be the most likely scenario in the world, however, and it's not because of service time or anything like that. He has no AAA time, and he seems to be slow to adapt to each new level.
