notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 One of the things I always do at the end of the season is to look at the MLB standings as they would have been from 1969-1993 to see if there were any great pennant races we were robbed of (or were provided) due to realignment. How epic would the Dodgers-Astros battle in the old NL West have been this season? It would have been on par with 1993 Braves-Giants. We'd have ended up with Yankees vs Twins and Astros vs Nationals in this year's LCS match-ups. For those of you wondering, the Twins would have been division winners of the AL West in 2006 (vs Yankees), 2010 (vs TB), this year (vs Yankees), and 2004 would have required a one game play-in game with a possible Johan vs Bartolo matchup vs the Angels.
