Postpone the Game

Postponing tonight's game seems like an absolute no brainer, right? Can someone explain to me why the Twins haven't done this already? 

 

Get to Cleveland 8 hours earlier. Miss out on facing Corbin with a lineup of bench players. Don't have to use a bullpen game on Saturday in Cleveland. 

 

What is the downside?

Other than having to possibly make the game up after the season?

 

I’m virtually certain they won’t play. I would imagine it gets called before 5 pm.

Is making it up after the season a negative? 1st of all that would only be done if the game meant something to Washington or MN. If the game did mean something to the Twins, who would want it played tonight vs Corbin with this lineup over played 2+ weeks from now with hopefully Sano, Kepler, etc and possibly in a game totally meaningless to Was

If they do postpone it and don't make it up, that will be a negative for me.  I have gifted tickets tonight in the lower level behind home plate.  I likely won't be getting those again this year.

Ok. I’d still rather the Twins give themselves the best chance to win the division.
